Oda intentionally leaving so many loose ends didn't help anything... The only satisfying part was Katakuri and Brulee's smiles.

Well that was one strange way of ending the arc, but oh well its done now.

And thank god we won't be getting any more of singing in this manga. God i hated that. On the plus side i get to skip the singing part in the anime and the episode becomes shorter .

I rate this chapter 3.5/5 ( mainly for ending the arc)

Kinda dissapointed Pudding erased sanji's memory. Would have liked Sanji to quit smoking .

Can't wait to see whats up next!! (Pretty sure next week is golden week, correct me if im wrong someone?)

The brulee kata interaction had me choking up a little. Bunch of shitty kids sliced her face up because her brother beat them up. But it seems like they are close. Idk I loved this arc. Someone mentioned a while back that this arc will probably be better when you can read it through. I think that still stands true. This was the first real arc where luffy was in over his head and he didn’t win every single fight.

Top 3 in my worst arcs of One Piece. "Sanji's Year" .

Meh, better than the previous post-timeskip arcs but that doesn't take much because most of the arcs post-timeskip aren't that good, Punk Hazard, Fishman Island, Dressrosa were band average arc so it wasn't hard to top them.

But yeah I agree WCI is a massive disappointment ; Luffy vs Katakuri is hands down the worst fights in One Piece history, we got 10+-chapters of Luffy running and trying to figure out ultra instinct, and then Luffy wins the fight because Katakuri decides to handicap himself.

Let's not talk about the "Year of Sanji"... This is the biggest meme about the whole arc. Sanji has been so useless this arc it's hilarious, months of build up with Sanji cooking a cake... for what? Literally nothing.

It's sad but the only reason I'm still reading One Piece is because of Wano, only Zoro greatness can save this manga.

[Punk Hazard]

This was a pretty good chapter. Surprised Oda actually managed to make Pudding into a character worth caring about again, that JiJi thing was pretty cute(Sanji one letter away from being a JoJo!). Katakuri and Brulee's part was pretty nice as well. Kinda wish we could have got this way earlier, this arc should have ended shortly after the cake fell. This arc like a strong 6-7 in the end.

Pudding doing a good deed by removing those memories was needed. Don't need that shit lingering in Sanji's head however I'm worried on what Linlin will do to Germa and Sun pirates.
Thanks god they're going to Wano, I hope the opening scene is Zoro soloing the shit out of someone punk. This up and coming arc will be the highlight of the New World and we're gonna see the Straw Hats and maybe Law get significantly stronger.

This was a great arc, it is the pinnacle of One Piece. If you expect something else from One Piece you're reading the wrong manga. I'm definitely going to reread it in it's entirety without having to wait a week for every chapter that will be great.

Sanji's year definitely got delivered. I think a lot of morons here think that when it's someone's year in a manga that it means you get a power-up. Sanji got a better deal he got 2 years of spotlight.

This was a beautiful ending to his arc. Him having to part his way with Pudding while he is unaware of their kiss while Pudding holds his memories and her own as a burden is tastefully done. It's really sad and I hope they will end up together in the end.

The little Dogtooth flashback was nice, gave him a little more depth. Hopefully him and Brullee understand Luffy a bit better now. Maybe they can play a part in saving the allies left behind because they're in shit.

As I called from chapter 1 of this arc. Big Mom isn't going down. As the matter of fact most of the family don't have a scratch on them. They were definitely spared to fight another day. It would be so cool if they would set pursuit to Wano and have a clash there after the Kaidou arc. Luffy and none of the supernova can even lay a finger on a yonkou as off now.

Super glad to see Sanji got closure and that after him meeting his family, being called a failure, he kept his head up and respected his ways that Zeff taught him to become a better man. It was a nice moment that when leaving Judge he called Sanji a failure for being weak while Luffy replied that it was his best quality. It's stuff like that that makes Oda such an underrated writer, because a lot of people don't pick that up.

The final panel with Zeff was a nice close, unaware of the danger Zeff was in Sanji protected him by holding on to his lessons. Sanji also realizes Pedro paid the price for it and he will have to carry that with him. It was cute to see that Carrot tried to comfort him but she was the one who needed the company.

No he didn't. No one expected the cake to kill Big Mom, but it did nothing more than give Bege incentive to bring Big Mom elsewhere. How everyone was passing out, you'd expect it to at least leave her unconscious for a while at the bare minimum. No though, she gets up immediately and ends up in front of the Sun Pirates to leave us with a cliffhanger that may not be solved for months. Seriously disappointed he didn't let Bege poison the cake.
At best, you can say "it's part of his character," but I'm sure even complete pacifists wouldn't compliantly cook for someone who'd attempt to slaughter their friends and family. Sanji's such a trash character for baking the cake and being so buddy-buddy with Pudding.

@Love Cook i agree this was a great arc, but its fa0ir to say somw parts were too long. and yes while reading it in one go will certainly make that less of a flaw you cant blame ppl who only read it once weeklybfor expressing frustration at times, if i judged OP chapter to chapter, week to week and not the arc as a whole id have similar complaints

I won't deny this arc was about Sanji, but you're lying real hard if you think his focus did him any good beyond "improving" his family and giving him Pudding.
