Damn that Katakuri, He is really strong, the fight is so intense, and another damn break ?? , But it worth the wait because we will see lots of great fights in the next chapters ?
So can luffy see in the future a little now? Like as often as he wants, or did this chapter kinda confirm he can't, and can't keep up with katakuri, so he has to trap katakuri on all sides to hit him
Cool fight. Finally a Rob Lucci 2.0 kind of fight. It's life or death with no escape. I liked all the snake themed attacks. I guess his Python chases the enemy around. Mamba is like a gattling form of snakeman and it looks like Cobra might be a grabbing attack. It appears Luffy is not making a fist but instead his hand is open.
Maybe his hand will "bite" Dogtooth and pulls him into a range of close combat where he is unable to dodge anymore. Which could also be pretty dangerous for Luffy as Dogtooth is the first one who is not completely blown away by G4 (Besides Big Mom).
It was a bit difficult to understand how Luffy was able to hit him. I'm not sure if it has to do with Luffy utilizing his CoO and nullifying Dogtooth's advantage to see the future. Or if it's like what I predicted last week and Snakeman is so fast that Dogtooth is able to predict what is going to happen but is unable to dodge.
This moment has always been one of my favorites. Luffy promised that he wouldn't fall before the fight was over. Lucci gave everything he got. It is almost enough to knock Luffy down and then he remembers his promise and composes himself and beats Lucci. It's interesting that in this arc it's the other way around where Dogtooth swore he would never end up on his back. I hope Luffy gives him a good long rest in the next chapter.
Katakuri is nothing short of amazing. The way he started dodging the Snake Culverin then just kicked Luffy square in the face was beastly. From the way this fight has been going honestly, there’s no real reason he should lose.
Not going to lie, quite underwhelmed... The new form doesn't exactly seem to pose much a threat, which I didn't expect it to in terms of power but I didn't expect Luffy to get clobbered anytime soon in it :/ But I suppose that was just my guessing wrong..

I'm not sure that was an open hand to grab Katakuri, it's the style of punches whilst in Snakeman I think whereby he punches with the knuckles.. Much like drunken boxing. I looked a bit closer on that panel and I think it was drawn like how he had his fist throughout the chapter.
Good chapter.
Chapter was too short though, it ended so quickly.
Of course I wasn't expecting Luffy to start dominating Katakuri like he did Doflamingo but to at least get some edge. It looks like they're now on even footing, going blow for blow, and that's kind of underwhelming and i lost some of the hype i had for the form.
The pace of this fight was really good!
Luffy's speed was the deciding factor and set him on equal footing as Katakuri, that being said, did he really win? Remain as a question.
When this gets animated this fight will be incredible. Also it's good Luffy's having these long drawn out fights now, fights lasting hours(Doffy,Cracker,Kata). We know the top tiers can fight other top tiers for days so Luffy either needs to get to that level or become so overwhelmingly strong he can beat them in a fraction of the time as other top tiers and I don't see that happening. When is Luffy's first 1 day fight gonna happen(Or has this incident been a full 24 hours since the wedding, I didn't keep track of the time frames) Ace was able to fight Jinbei for 5 days almost upon his arrival in the NW. Admirals can last around 10 days I'm sure Yonko can too if not longer. Luffy needs to go through at least 1 24 hour fight and soon I think.
I was a little disappointed with Snakemans feats though, listening to the name i would have expected him to be super hard to hit and was hoping for some unique moves, not just culverin attacks.
And no emphasis on FS for Luffy in this form? How is the form going to be called Snakeman but he cant react or dodge anything? FS would have completely made sense here.
The form still did well though, of course we get a break now.
Isn't snakeman sorta the same as culverin which he used in hus usual g4 mode?
I hope we get some sort of explanation as to why it is supposed to be so much faster that Katakuri is dumbfounded
