2.5/5, I don't see why it's being dragged on for so long. The only part that I got interested in was the last page.

I think things can be shortened by a lot. We didn't need all this nonsense.

Man I still can't believe this stuff is still dragging like this, like seriously. I will never understand how Oda can drag and drag things out this much and not care. It severely reduces the quality of the manga in my opinion.

As for the chapter, still no real progression really, sometimes I think to myself," there's no way Oda can milk this conflict any further." And he proves me wrong every time, at this point I expect the fight to be over next chapter but I'm probably wrong about that like always. At this point I feel like instead of going with what's right Oda is dragging things out for the sake of numbers, honestly I could care less about this arc ending on chapter 900 Oda, just end it already.

good chapter. i mean cmon luffys only a 500,000,000 berri fugitive, whos up agianst a 1billion berri.... bro for luffy to go from 500 mil to 1 bil in one day time.....well ****.. we better get some context. dog tooth regret is probably for testing/underestimating luffys ability to learn and progress. dog tooth had some plenty of times and chances to end luffy. sure even if dogtooths haki is weaken due to fatigue but same applies to luffy. well just have to wait and see.

This was nice, I liked Sanji reuniting with the crew. Missed his swoon dance, If only Robin-Chwan was here :ilu:.

Finally Big Mom is off their backs. Can't see how Bege will kill Big Mom after her performance during the wedding. His plans fell in the water immediately.

Interesting that Smoothie now is after the SH's and Oven waiting for them. They have no chance of beating them. I think that is where the Vinsmokes will come in.

And damn, Luffy took a heavy hit and lost a big chunk from his body. He must unlock some kind of rubber regeneration right now to stand a chance or something.

No it's exactly chapters like this why One Piece is one of the greatest manga out there. Sure you have to be patient on a week to week basis but when you reread it's such a complete immersive experience with the best attention to detail.

Probably regretting coming back to fight Katakuri so he can get his Observation increased instead of escaping.

This chapter actually made me realize that One Piece is probably best left read volume to volume and not chapter to chapter. It's kinda weird that we read manga like this. Imagine reading a novel specifically one chapter at a time, one chapter a week. This was the same deal with Dressrosa. That arc felt like it was dragging when reading it weekly. Re-read it now that it's complete and you gon from chapter directly to chapter directly as soon as you're done, and it's WAYYY better than reading it weekly. WCI is likely gonna be the same way and I'm actually contemplating reading volume to volume and not chapter to chapter.

Go back and re-read earlier arcs like Skypeia, Alabasta, and Enies Lobby/Water 7, there's chapters like this too. Hell, THIS chapter isn't even like one of the ones where nothing is happening. In this chapter, the cake has arrived, Sanji is with the crew again, Bege's assination plan is back on, the BM Pirates are far more organized, an ambush has been set up for Luffy, and we see Luffy taking critical damage in this fight the likes we've never seen before, actually giving some good tension.

In the bottom right we see a small dot above Luffy with lines looking like it's coming at him from his right then he looks to his right before being hit by Kata. I saw someone mention they think the girl did something to prevent Luffy from dodging, now I see what they meant.

On the bulk reading, I don't think an argument could be made against reading all at once. It's definitely the better way. I'm still gonna read the weekly releases but it's a better read when it's all available at once.

They shot him in the leg. That's a bullet. Look at the panel immediately to the left and you see a spurt of blood coming from his right leg and movement lines near it. The bullet actually went right through his leg; there's an impact bubble on the left side of Luffy's leg with the lines continuing to it.

Leaving only one mirror on cacao island is gonna backfire on katakuri so hard. My guess is that luffy will develop his observatioon haki to katakuris level but still can't beat him because he is so worn and katakuri is still just stronger. So luffy gets one hit on katakuri with surprise observation haki development and escapes shattering the mirror on his way out and trapping katakuri in mirrorland. Luffy uses his newfound powers to avoid/defeat the fodder waiting for him at the mirror.

OT: Pretty unfair to hold a transitional chapter that puts things in place to the same standard as the action packed ones, 3/5 from me though. We all know Luffy is probably seeing the future, so it really wasn't anything special, but it also introduced another plotline with Bege & the fact that he wants all the heat on himself for some reason. Odds are chiffon is gonna lead him to a Deus Ex Machina.

Great chapter! Im calling it now, Luffy has just seen the future where kata is going to rip a part of his abdomen and it will reroll to where charlotte flambe was introduced, where she was laughing with only her back shown before her introduction(with the foreshadow of her laughing at the ending page of the recent chapter ), showing how luffy has already acquired the ability to see the future.

Also will Sanji be fighting Smoothie? or Jinbie would? I hope if its sanji he wouls now show how strong he has been an be able to fight girls.

Ive been saying that for years I was actually surprised how few ppl actually read arcs as a whole

There is no way around it, week by week there wre OP chapters which just drag, they wre everywhere, in east blue, skypiea, even water 7, impel down, sabaody, FI, PH, Dresrossa

But most ppl watched/read the vast majority of OP in one go up until the TS, many after TS

But pls remember, one of the most popular arcs in One Piece had 2 months of chapters on the flying fish raiders (riders?) and than dragged a bit after until the arc fired up

Take dressrosa, could it be 10 chapters shorter? Probably, but when u read it in one go u just dont care about that
