PREDICTION: Chapter 887
The chapter begins with the sunny approaching cacao island and Jinbei tells them to prepare for battle, Oven sets his sights on infiltrating Bege's ship first and then finishing off Chiffon later as she's trash. Chopper tells Carrot that it will be a full moon tonight and Carrot says that she will use her full power and tells him not to interfere, Chopper says he wants a slice of the action as well as it's been a while since he has harvested fresh blood and organs for his medicinal research. Carrot tells him to do it another time and Chopper says that he supposes he could.
It then goes into night time and Oven has boarded Bege's ship and is fodderizing the crew. Bege is attempting to fight him from distance but Oven is more interested in burning down the ship first, Bege then gets up close and attacks but finds it hard to go against the heat of Oven's devil fruit which is setting fire to the whole ship. They both then notice that the sunny has arrived and Oven starts laughing as he can squash two bugs for the price of one tonight. Onboard the sunny, Carrot walks to the front of the ship and everyone will be like "wtf are you doing, are you trying to become a meatshield or something?" but Chopper tells them all to leave Carrot alone.
Then they all see that Bege is clearly overwhelmed and Oven now has the whole ship on fire with Bege on the floor almost finished, Nami will say that they have to take action now and Jinbei agrees, but then suddenly the cloud cover lifts and Carrot transforms into a giant beast with red eyes that looks like a lapahn but with sharper fur and more muscular. She then makes some primal scream which is powerful enough to extinguish the fire on Bege's ship and alerts Oven who then prepares to deal a finishing blow to Bege but then before he can react, beast Carrot will jump across from the sunny and then grab Oven by the neck and drag him back to Cacao island. Oven is then shook but recomposes himself quickly and attempts to attack beast Carrot with a punch but she easily dodges and then uses her claws to inflict damage upon Oven. He then gets angry and turns his hands white hot and says some arrogant shit about how his devil fruit can generate the highest heat out of any devil fruits and surpasses even the mera mera no mi and maga maga no mi, and then calls Ace and Akainu scrubs. However beast Carrot does not understand what Oven just said and goes in to make her next attack which again overwhelms Oven but this time he has enough composure to counterattack with a superheated punch which blows a clean hole through beast Carrot's torso and sends her flying backwards, then we see shocked reactions from the strawhats, Bege, pudding and chiffon since they think that this Ace 2.0. Oven then says that he dealt a fatal blow but suddenly he realizes that beast Carrot is still standing and that the hole he just punched through her torso has instantly begun regenerating.
The injury then regenerates quickly and it seems to have had no effect on beast Carrot other than making her angrier and she goes in for another attack.
It then cuts to a flashback of Wanda speaking to Duke Inuarashi just after they realized that Carrot ran away. Wanda will wonder if the strawhats are capable of dealing with Carrot in beastmode who they named Kakarot after she almost did a Big Mom vs Elbaf to Zou, back in her younger days. Inuaraushi will say that it's their problem now but they could probably cope with it if they are willing to lose a crewmember or two. He will then reveal the secret of the mink's beast mode and reveal that there are two ways to stop an uncontrollable beast, either make a sacrifice of a living person or to subdue them and hide them from the moon, he then says that 99% of the time that it happened in Zou they made the sacrifice of a living person. Wanda then says that they will prepare Chopper's funeral for the next time they all meet.
It then goes back to the fight with Oven and beast Carrot is making large inroads, both fighters will have large injuries dealt to them but Oven is on the losing side due to not having regeneration and is beginning to tire. He will have some inner monologue shit where he can't believe that he is getting beaten and that he's heard of this beastly form before but couldn't imagine that it would be so strong. Oven then deals another couple of holes through the body with his superhot fists but beast Carrot tanks them like nothing and inflicts heavy blows of her own which makes Oven desperate, he then uses a superhot karate chop to slice beast Carrot in two but she manages to dodge most of the attack and only loses her arm, she then headbutts him whilst using electro which knocks him back a considerable distance and then she regenerates her arm instantly. Oven is then on the brink and decides to use his awakening to destroy beast Carrot even if it destroys himself and the island, however beast Carrot then disappears from his sight and she speedblitzes him and cleaves him in half with brute strength. Beast Carrot then sets her sights on Pound as her next target but then suddenly the cloud cover returns to obscure the moon and she is forced back into normal Carrot due to expending too much energy in her beast form.
It then cuts to Luffy who concentrates hard and uses his observation haki to try and see the future however he sees something else. Katakuri then finds him and asks if he is ready to fight again and Luffy tells him that he doesn't have to be angry at the world anymore. Katakuri is then puzzled at this and demands to know what Luffy meant. Luffy will say that it's 2017 now, not 2007 and that it's acceptable to look emo and edgy in the outside world and that he can leave WCI now without fear of being bullied heavily. Katakuri will then breakdown and profoundly apologize for his actions as he was misguided by his hatred of the world as that was all Big Mom ever taught him to do. Luffy then uses double king kong gun and smashes Katakuri in the face.
Then it returns to Cacao island where the strawhats are fighting off the remaining BM pirates, however Big Mom then arrives with perospero and he announces that it is the end of Bege and all strawhats on the island. Pudding will then say that they have to distract perospero for them to give Big Mom the cake as he will not allow it while the strawhats are still alive and they'll need another way of subduing Big Mom to feed her the cake without her killing them mindlessly. Carrot will then resent the fact that she used up her beast form power for the night as she would have loved to crush Perospero to avenge Pedro and she thinks that she would be able to take Big Mom on as well. However Pound then comes to the fore and says that he will act as the distraction for Big Mom.
Everyone will be surprised but Pound will say how BM was the one who bestowed the name "Pound" upon him in recognition for his power in bed and that he was able to subdue her many times in the past. But then he proclaims that he is most likely a bit rusty and might only be able to do it for a much shorter length of time than he previously could. Sanji then says that it is enough and he will fight perospero whilst Pudding gives BM the cake and they prepare to execute the plan.
