Why? This coming from the guy who harps on others about world building and story lines not being dropped, the tamatebako box has been being mentioned since FI what would be the point of it all if nothing happens with it? Doesn't that go against everything you jump down others throats about? We can't have something get this much attention and build up to have no resolution.

Ima thinking the Sun Pirates will show up soon. Or some from his alliance, not that their fighting chances would increase much but the chaos would be an advantage. Last arcs has been all about Luffy and the Sh's making alliances and pledging themselves toLuffy so this would be a good time to show up I guess? Then again they have no way of knowing in what kind of situation the Sh's are.
Also loved how Brook, Sanji and Luffy were so casual like usual while Bege was flipping around becoming desperate

Him saying throwing the box down just to have it brought back up later anyways is pointless doesn't mean no resolution will occur with the box.
It wouldn't necessarily be pointless.. maybe Oda wants Pekoms to go back to the Mink tribe, but since Pekoms would never betray Big Mom and leave on his own, this could make BM assume he's a traitor and therefore he would be forced to leave.

Well how else can Pekoms and the Tamatebako box be used? Do you think that Pekoms and the Tamatebako are just going to be completely useless in this arc?

It will blow p the mountain and crash most of the df users into the sea
since big mom's crew is mostly df users the strawhats would have the advantage fighting on the ocea.

Well of course that box will come in to play somehow, but for Oda to throw the box down a cliff first only to get picked up and get carried back to the top seems weird. If Oda wanted to blow it at the top he wouldn't have thrown it down a cliff.
I saw another theory that the box might blow a chunk out of the mountain they're on and causing some kind of shift in the battlefield.
Maybe some sun pirate remnants who are still there or that one hammerhead shark daughter spot the box and also know it's secret and pick it up.
But I just can't see why Pekoms who probably will be in a hurry because he wants to warn momma for the betrayal decides to carry a big box back to the top of a mountain. And for what reason ? because Pekoms doesn't know about the bomb and treasure also doesn't comfort Big Mom out of a rage mood like food can do. So what would Pekoms' motive be to take that thing with him.
I think Du Feld will open it at the bottom out of curiosity and cause something else.

Tbh if the tamatebako box opens up and doesnt break the moutain even if it just frees the big father and them could run to the sea because ALL of big mom's crew is a df user

Not only that, but why would Big Mom assume Pekoms turned the box into a bomb when it'd be clear it wasn't opened when he brings it back?
The box could also come into play with the SHs recognizing it from Fishman Island. Luffy would take it back as an act as defiance towards Big Mom because he plans to take back FI from her. He brings it back to FI, and sets it off, destroying FI as the prophecy said. There are as many windows open for this as there are mirrors in Brulee's world.
Great chapter a lot of build up for an all out battle. I guess oda has basically out lined the fights to come I can't wait. I don't see big mom falling this arc but a few of her commanders may fall by the end. One thing that caught my attention where the hell is big moms eldest daughter she was listed as one of the monsters in her crew but hasn't been seen since she was introduced it's weird she must be a beast if oda has held her back all this time.

Well Big Mom isn't exactly the smartest character in OP...
There's no way that the Tamatebako box would be powerful enough to destroy FI. The Minister of the Left put explosives in the box in order to stop any thieves that try to steal the treasure inside, so why would he make those explosives powerful enough to destroy the palace (and risk killing the royal family)?
The only other scenario I can think of for the Tamatebako box is that it damages the base of the castle, which causes the castle to shift and the SHs escape when that distracts the BM Pirates, but I feel like the box would have exploded by now if that was the case. If this doesn't happen in the next chapter then the Tamatebako box obviously didn't detonate when it hit the ground.

Just realized, if the box doesn't come back into play, it's not wasted, that just means it's function was a red herring since everyone and their mother's grandmother's dog immediately jumped to "That will weaken Big Mom."

That would be super disappointing though if that was the case. Not ruling it out though, but I have to admit, the box's potential placement at the bottom of the mountain does make it an ideal plot point for a) exploding without necessarily having to weaken BM and b) allowing the SH's and Co to escape this impossible situation in the ensuing chaos.
If that's the case, we could be leaving WCI quite soon, albeit with an extremely pissed off BM and crew possibly chasing.

I have no idea how exactly Oda is planning to use that box, but one thing is certain and that is that he's going to use it at one point. It's really not something for Oda to add the subplot of that box and then do nothing with it.
See, this is what I mean. You are just finding reasons to trash characters and they are not even remotely legit ones.
