that is the problem ppl had, you wanted a fight, we wanted a conclusion to the arc (and an arc is actually a short term for a ''story arc'', not a fight arc), which is not the same, and that is what Love Cook meant, that in op fights are just a byproduct of the unfolding story, i guess he wondered why someone who just wants fights would go for OP instead of teh plethora of manga which anchor all (or at least most) of their weight in fights

No you don't understand. I'm not telling you what to like.
All I'm saying is that if you like what you like. One Piece might not be the series for you because you're mistaking it for an action/fighting genre while it is an adventure manga.
So if you want more action, you might want to try Naruto, Dragon Ball, Fairy Tail or Bleach. Those are all good Shonen Jump Fighting titles.

I totally get that. That's why I love One Piece.
It's a great adventure series and I love the characters.
I love adventure and I love action. This is why One Piece is one of my top 5 favorite series.

Im fine with a backstory for bigmom actually im fine with a backstory for any yonko especially shankks.. but i understand what your saying too we need to hurry an get this arc ovee with we already know bigmom is going down this arc we just dont know how and by who.. or in what situation.. what i will say is luffy seems too laid back to be fighting a yonko.. i think he is hiding somthing .. or oda is trolling lol how else will they defeat bigmom who is clearly leaps and bounds stronger then luffy and jenbei???

Who was the main antagonist at Sabaody or Loguetown? Kizaru and Smoker? You know they're not main antagonist comparable to BM in this arc. When I said main antagonist I meant it as final boss scenario and really none of those 4 arcs mentioned had final boss scenarios so while they are arcs where the strongest opponent wasn't beaten they're not really apples to apples with this scenario.
Interesting all 4 cases are against Marines and none pirates.

Wrong Rayleigh wasn't holding anything back he was trying to put down everybody in the auction house he even acknowledged the fact that if they could handle his Haki then they are surely no amateurs. And those faces the Vinsmoke family were making were do to big moms screaming not her Haki. Even luffy was screaming in pain and it wasn't do to Haki he was in close proximity to big mom so he got the worst of it. Strong will doesn't mean you are a physical power house it just means conquers Haki won't effect you which is nothing special since its basically the equivalent to crowd control when it comes to fodder.
More like the 4 cases where Luffy was severely outmatched in terms of strength.
Do you really believe that Luffy will pull off a win here ? Right now Dogtooth is holding off Pedro, Jimbei, Luffy and Bege all at once. Smoothie hasn't even made her move.
Oven and the Genie guy are also still running around and Big Mom hasn't even lifted a finger yet. The strongest one in the room.
While Ceasar Clown is already busy with an escape route, and Luffy never vowed to beat big mom this arc, he said let's ruin the wedding.
Everything points in the direction that the will do some damage to her reputation, snatch and grab Sanji, Save Zeff and the Vinsmokes and jump into a mirror.
The plan was described so detailed and it's working pretty flawlessly up till this point. I will be shocked if Big Mom will go down from some cheap shot rockets after showing her a picture.
First rule in story telling is, if you explain the audience your plan in detail, it will fail 100% of the time.

Luffy already vowed to take her out back at FI and fairly certain he also said it once he got on WCI to her or her subs I'll look for that in a few.
I've already said in other posts the rockets probably won't take her out and the plan won't go 100% since the rockets are a kill shot and Oda kills few characters off but that doesn't mean she won't/can't still be beaten this arc.
Save Zeff? Zeff hasn't been in danger for the last 20 chapters or so. BM doesn't care about Zeff's life and the Vinsmokes have been in no position to act on that threat since they arrived on WCI. Just stop with the Zeff excuse already.
I meant to put this in the first reply but must have missed it. Your two instances bring up a good point, during rescue arcs Luffy doesn't always defeat the final boss character before leaving but they aren't true final boss arcs either like this one is so they are good evidence for but not proof that BM won't be defeated.
