Good chapter, that's largely due to the fact that it's chaotic. I'm beginning to think Smoothie isn't even in the room. Didn't expect too much from the vinsmokes, but can't help but be disappointed by their actions.

To be fair to Vinsmokes,their weapons were confiscated.Zoro wouldn't be that powerful without his swords.But,yeah Judge crying like a little kid is kinda pathetic,unless it is a Judge's clone.Although I feel a bit bad for him,specially after BM's children laughing at him and Perospero's trash talk.
BM pirates are pretty cool this chapter though,Oven and Daifuku are coming of as pretty competitive.Although Smoothie just sitting around and not doing anything bothers me a bit.
Capone is the best supernova imo.The way Oda developed his character is really badass.Pretty interested in knowing the dark Future Katakuri saw.

Makes absolute sense. Since Judge has the upper hand in cloning technology, I totally forgot they can clone whatever they please. I found this today's chapter really strange when it comes to Vinsmoke Family.

You actually expect a bunch of assassins trained from childbirth with an arrogant and a condescending attitude because of their strength to just casually die after being betrayed without doing anything? I wouldn't become a betting person if I were you.

Don't confuse "not caring about the prospect of their death" with "not doing anything to avoid dying". The former doesn't automatically exclude the latter.

They are being held at gunpoint by Big Mums children who can shoot them at any time now. If they don't do anything right now, by default it means certain death as currently most people who could possibly save them are occupied. Not to mention saving them is easier said than done as they are surrounded on all sides. If you don't take all the assailants out in one go the remaining ones could just execute the Vinsmokes and protecting them all at the same time is quite difficult if you don't want them to be caught in the crossfire. Sanji apparently is aiming at the moment that BM loses her mind, but the Vinsmokes don't have earplugs.

So yeah saying the Vinsmokes will do nothing is pretty much the same as saying that they have the intention to die, not in the least because they themselves really are not counting on being saved by the Strawhats. If Oda just wanted to have victims, he really didn't need that many characters.

The only reason whey they wouldn't react, excluding Judge and Reiji, is that they believe the attacks wouldn't do anything to them and I wouldn't call that being a victim.

I find it hilarious that the plan has currently not yet succeeded because of BM not being able to make up her mind about what she now has to be mad about the most. Still now I'm wondering how the Tamatebako-bomb is going to fit into all of this? I'm starting to envision a scenario where her children try to make her calm down by giving her the Tamatebako saying that that's still unharmed. She consequently opens it and boom (pun intended), this is when she finally loses it completely.

Judge's performance is kinda pathetic, but it's an interesting visual as it shows that Judge in the end is different from his three sons, who were raised to be emotionless killer-machines, and has in fact much more in common with Sanji. I'm expecting his helmet to be removed soon, showing that he has Sanj's asymmetrical curly brows.

Yeah, the Vinsmokes can't be fodder when they're a major plot device to the story. They're the main thing responsible for the history, personality, and inclusion of one of the story's central characters. If the story drastically changes if you're removed, you're not a fodder. You've gotta be asinine to expect Oda to have the Vinsmokes do absolutely nothing either in this arc or the near future.

This chapter was pretty much a let down and the pacing has slowed down tremendously. Especially since we were on break with 2 weeks without a chapter and we get this. The last 3 chapters were basically them trying to break the picture now it's broke, but next weeks chapter will be about them trying to show big mom the picture smh. All of this could've been done in one chapter and we could've finally gotten to the action the pacing is now as bad as it was at the start of this arc.

You need Brook (and Nami team) action
And apparently a lot of people need Smoothie in action. But there is only so much you can fit in a chapter. But the I'd rather have a good story than a rushed story.

There are already plenty of rushed story's in Shounen's history.

There are crucial parts in this chapter yes but the plan being stalled by big mom not screaming is stupid for this reason alone. Brook broke the picture and big mom seen it she doesn't go off but showing her the picture a second time will make her finally lose her mind. So basically your gonna kill panel time to do what you already did this chapter. Smh that's just a waste of oda's efforts. What's the point of taking a break and coming back with unnecessary parts of the plot that you will have to continue in the next chapter when we could've been farther along if he just made big mom lose her shit already it's honestly a waste you have to at least see that much.
