Let me start with I like Sanji and I know how sensitive and defensive some of his fans can get right now with people trying to push their buttons during Sanji's year but giving up on his dream is some ***** shit and not in character for a SH. Robin is the only other SH I can think of wanting to give up but that was early on when she was still used to dipping out on crews when a risk came about but for Sanji to be acting like that now after so long took a chunk out of the respect for the character.

Yeah man I agree.. Sanji as a character has really lost some respect from me.. (unless Oda redeems him by the end of the arc) like bruh, Luffy wants to be the Pirate King! and is willing to die for that dream any day of the week. Luffy is already "fighting" against Kaido, hence the Law alliance.. and Luffy already made Big Mam his enemy on Fishman island.. From the jump Sanji should've known Luffy wouldn't just stand by and let Sanji leave to "save everyone" from Big Mam.. they went against the world government for Robin.. like come on Sanji, this character looks stupid af right now.

It was a decent chapter, don't know how to feel about Sanji giving up (if he's not pretending or something).
Hmmmmmm, so, Luffy intends to fight an army without moving an inch. I'm guessing the arc will become chaotic pretty soon, since I don't see him doing much while fighting from a spot.
Sanji marrying pudding won't be too bad imo, it's not like marrying her means they have to stay on the island (that's implied tho), but they can always run away.
Also, is it just me or is the rain, not doing anything to Luffy and Nami? There's gotta be more to prometheus and Zeus right?

How is this different than Zoro choosing to die before he accomplishes his dream and to end his journey prematurely to protect those he cares about against Kuma?

Or Luffy putting his life at risk at Marineford for Ace?

The SHs put their lives up to bet every time they have a conflict with another party, so it's not at all out of character. We even saw Sanji tell Zoro not to choose his dream over his life when Mihawk was about to kill him, so if anything, this is just a twisting of something Sanji's character used to be, and actually makes sense with what we know about him.

It's not that Sanji wants to give up, he feels as though he has no choice.
