I'm getting these Star Wars vibes reading this chapter.
Now I'm puzzled how Sanji escaped there. I thought his sister was actually as bad as his brothers but it seems I was wrong..
So what's the deal now are they all "tube humans"?

And Judge his philosophy is going to come hit him in his face so hard. Sanji who was considered the weakling with no talents, -like they said- "a waste of space" will turn out to be strongest and have the most potential of them all.

Two weeks in a row a Wednesday chapter? How unusual.

I assume Oda is intentionally being ambiguous about Sanji's biological heritage. On one hand Judge is mentioning the mother, but on the other hand the way he is talking with the scientists it gives the impression all of them were artificially made by editing his own genetic material.

And what a strange parallel with Duval who once donned the epithet "Iron Mask Duval" because he had to hide his face due to the resemblance it had with Sanji's face who's a wanted man. Now it appears Sanji himself had an iron mask strapped to his face when he was young. What's more I can only assume that this was inspired by the Man in the Iron Mask-mystery. It's considered to be one of the most intriguing mysteries of all the time which revolves around the identity of a prisoner in 17th century France that had to wear an iron mask. This mystery sometimes gets intertwined with the story of the Three Musketeers. The theory that has always spoken the most to the imagination was that he was a relative of the king of France and a potential threat to his position due to a possible claim on the throne. Sanji's real world nationality would be French, then you also have the royal connection and a king trying to get rid of another claimant to the throne via an iron mask, secret jail and complete anonymity by faking his death.

I don't think Sanji and his siblings are artificially created, them having a mother was mentioned. But they did had their genes modified before birth, only his didn't work. And here I was getting ready to make some solid snake jokes.

The only diference is that Law lost not only his family, but everyone he knew, got a new family and then lost it again...all while slowly dying from sickness.

Last week I was still thinking Reiju might be hiding some evil in her, but apparently she was nice to him since they were young. So my twist of her being a cruel mastermind is pretty much out of the window.

I realllllly can't wait for the threat on Zeff to be lifted by Big mom. They need such an asskicking.

The stealth technique is pretty cool. Also what is the deal with all the electricity tech's in One Piece lately. Minks use it and now the Vinsmokes too.

Like Caliburn said about the Iron Mask. When I read the title of this chapter I thought wth, is Duval going to be in this ?

Anyway, amazing backstory. Really loving these chapters. Can't get enough of the Sanji development. And this arc has just begun.

Has there ever been a clarification about Zeff's power/strength? I don't really remember. And I can't help but think he is one of those "old people" who don't really need help or protection. Usually these mentor type of guys are beasts themselves. Would be ironic if someone would go the the Baratie and receives a complete wooping.

Well Since EB is super weak, there might be doubts but He is the only EB Pirate(known of cause) to roam the entire Paradise and came back(He was aware of Mihawk, Shichibukai etc. Devil Fruits all of that). How ever if they can push Black Leg Sanji like this I doubt Red Leg Zeff can do something

The spoilers made it seem as if sanji lost while fighting lol, you can't lose something you arent participating in, this kinda reminds me of when luffy allowed bellamy to hit him.They threatened baratie......once again......smh, man the more this goes on, the more apparent it is that he needs someone to help him over there in east blue somehow.

It's kinda ironic, how the weaklink and the most human became better than two of the brothers (2 and 4) Niji apparently couldn't see base sanjis attack, talk about good genes lmao
