I purposely waited for MS translations >.> Now that it's here... this was a great chapter to start the year. Nice Nami cover story. An arranged marriage to benefit Big Mom's family? It makes me wonder what significance/power the Vinsmoke family has. I'm hoping we get Sanji's backstory with the next couple of chapters.

Some nice Sanji and Nami (SO hot in that dress!) moments, some funny Brook and Caesar moments, a weird fruit and a plot twist that I definitely didn't foresee. Also, Pekoms confirmed a pleb? :heh: Overall a nice OP chapter!

Agreed that Lola will come in handy at some point soon, that would make sense.

A marriage aint gonna come between Sanji and the SH's. Luffy will get him back no matter what anyway - he's the king of doing whatever the f he wants despite the perceived consequences!

The chapter was 2/5 for me. Capone Bege 3,000,000,000 belly bounty? Yeah, in his dream. Clearly a mistake.

I also did not like the fact that Capone shot Pekoms in the back, cowardly move. Though, you can't expect something better from a character that has the "Castle-Castle devil fruit". Lmao

Well he is a mafia goon so that's in character so I didn't mind that, I minded that he was able to defeat a Yonkou subordinate(important at that as she sent him out on missions often) so easily though, I expect Pekoms to make it back to Big Mom and let her know about Bege's betrayal. I'm not a fan of his tough portrayal, having seen nothing of him it seems odd Brook wasn't quick enough(his specialty is his speed and striking speed) to take out the guys from inside Bege and Sanji take out Bege himself.

The most curious part for me was Bege going inside himself? How's that supposed to work? If he's in there than what are they in? See if I have a box and I put 5 things in that box then somehow magically put that box inside itself where does the box go? It can't be in the location it was when I put the 5 things inside it anymore.

Am i the only one who was expecting Sanji kick some ass before getting captured? pretty underwhelming for a 2 week break oh well atleast his last name is badass VinSmock hot AF.

He probably won't get captured, Capone's bullets will be dodged by a CoO user like sanji, the way I see it, he will go willingly especially since the biggest problem and probably the strongest fighter aka pekmos is gone now.


OT: Great chapter, we haven't had one like this for a while. I expect sanji and big mom to become allies, making luffy and BM allies as well, I can also see a great character development happen by having sanji refuse a wedding despite the pride attractiveness, which I would find real fitting.LMAO at cesar trying to take advantage of sanji's power to beat pekmos and capone

Capone was extremely Badass this chapter, shooting pekoms who was getting in his feelings just like a real gangsta. I guess Big Mom is either going to end up allying with SHs or she will be the first Yonko Luffy will defeat.

Was expecting Sanji to be a noble or a celestial but he's looking like none of that right now, need more info on that.

The reason why Zeff saved Sanji in the first place was because they shared the same "idiotic" dream of finding All Blue because it has an infinite amount of fish ingredients for cooking. So Sanji already had cooking ambitions long before he met Zeff.

Also people keep bringing up the whole Sanji = noble thing, but there is a difference between being a noble and being a Celestial Dragon and the latter is what people kept saying up to this chapter. Sabo is also a noble, pretty much every country in OP has nobles. They are merely an upper social class, but in itself not really that special. Sanji is also supposed to be from North Blue, so I find it really unlikely that Sanji's family is going into an alliance with the clan of one of the Yonkou of the New World. Hence I believe that Sanji's family is an influential family, but mainly within the cooking industry, which is what makes it so interesting for Big Mum as she pretty much has a food addiction. I also believe the marriage is the reason as why the WG requested Sanji to be captured alive. The announcement of the Tea Party and the marriage was done around the same time the new bounties were released. If the WG got wind of it, they might consider this a unique opportunity for whatever or from another perspective they don't want to piss off Big Mum by requesting her new son in law or brother in law dead.

This chapter was a slap in the face to those who thought that Capone wasn't shit and useless compared to the other SN XD.... I knew he'd get his time to shine, I like the way he work. Now I see how he managed to join the BM pirates, He's there to get the job done no matter what on his way to the top. He has that natural leader vibe to him...

Sanji disappointed me yet again smh but I respect his decision to not fight since the county was still recovering. Oda threw a complete curve ball with the reason why sanji is leaving lol

I've always been against the Sanji = CD theory because it made no sense and was also largely baseless, but for some reason people kept presenting it like it was almost a confirmed fact. That was also the point of my post. Several people in this thread made the comment that Sanji is a noble, but nobles and CD are still two very different things. Being a regular noble isn't really that special, but considering till now people always were talking about the CDn I'm getting the impression that they consider CD and nobles to be the same.
