[Predictions] One Piece Manga Chapter 807 Discussion and 808 Predictions

Again, people are penalizing this chapter rating since we had to wait for it. Smh. I loved this chapter, from it's cover story to it's conclusion. Nami's the only one that's so worried about Sanji and was willing to cry over him. Great SaNami moment and Sanji left on his own? That's a lot better than him getting captured and resulting in some rescue arc.

Huh, it seems several small predictions, both old and new, have become somewhat true

And btw that the elephant has a fur doesn't automatically mean it's Kaidou as those guys Sanji had a scuffle with several chapters ago all were wearing the same thing. It's not unusual that members of the same crew are wearing similar cloths. Considering that so far Kaidou hasn't been mentioned by the Minks and that they only were talking about Jack, it's most likely it's Jack and it means that Jack is connected somehow with Kaidou.

I don't think that's Kaidou. If it was, the island would've been destroyed even more, considering if Kaidou wanted something, he'd get extremely violent to get it. It's most probably Jack.

Yeah to be honest I am confused by this chapter. Last chapter Nami's crying about Sanji and now barely anyone except her gives a **** about him. Also I remember Sanji being with them somewhere else?! It must have been a year since then though so maybe I remember wrong.

The flashback felt too short, we were waiting like a whole year or more for that.

All in all it was a strange chapter for me.

Again, rating the chapter low just because it isn't worth of a whole week break. Being all high and mighty that Oda should make the chapter damn epic just for your damn satisfaction alone regardless of his health and such, aren't ya. Epicness or not within the chapter has nothing to do with the break Oda is keeping recently. Ain't it lose the purpose of him taking a rest due to his unstable health if everytime he had one, he had to step up his game. What's more important is the info. Perhaps you too need a break from reading the chapters weekly if it gets to your nerve with Oda's way of carrying out his story. :O I don't mind if it's about the chapter itself, to each his own, but over the whole 'break' reason was kinda annoying.

Alright, onto the discussion. So there's so much info, and typical Oda left us with more questions to ponder upon instead of anticipated answers LOL
But it's good to know Sanji was doing what he thought should be the best of the situation and his nakama, highly possible related to his questionable WANTED poster, indeed. I like how they mention about Nami's courage and Chopper's medical skill, they're being so useful even without having other SH strong powerhouses around. Sunny Team has been doing fine on their own greatly.

Luffy and Zoro aren't worried much about Sanji so I guess they're pretty confident of his ability to take care of himself. Wonder what kinda note Sanji had left for them :/

And there goes our bony Brook been licked and bite all over. And a giant freaking Mammoth. Eerily similar a bit to Kaido, but possibly not him. More like Jack, ain't it so.

Tbh, I reaaally wanna know how's Sanji right now :hyper: Is he okay, or what in the world is he trying to do by himself, at least a little more insight would be nice :yeah: Very disappointed, regardless, the overall chapter is still a nice build up.

Oda thinks he still needs to hype things up through vagueness and keeping us in the dark, when at this point, it's the exact opposite that's needed for the story IMO. I feel like, at almost twenty years and halfway through a series, you stop building, and start showing.

I feel like, at almost twenty years and halfway through a series, you stop building, and start showing.

That whole "leaving suspense so we'll tune in to the next chapter" or w/e is somewhat pointless now.. like yo, we're already die-hard fans that are reading every chapter you put out.. giving us more information at this moment is only going to get us even more hyped and hold more respect for him and his writing skills.

Leaving Sanji's whereabouts and/or condition as a cliffhanger for ONE chapter (and that two week break) is reasonable and understandable.. but this is just a tad bit on the ridiculous side.

Yes, that's exactly how I feel. Oda writes like we're still in 1999 and he's trying to snag in readers so SJ doesn't drop the series. What happened to Sanji has no real reason to be a secret /:
