I'm guessing the cage was shrinking because of Doffy pulling back power for his counters against Luffy. He made it seem easy, but Haki enhanced Gauntlet and Elphant Haki are both powerful moves. Doffy will eventually pull back his full strength to subdue Luffy, I don't see Luffy winning this at this rate though.

I believe they were indeed yes.

Doffy will eventually pull back his full strength to subdue Luffy, I don't see Luffy winning this at this rate though.

He's cutting everyone off, not just Luffy. Which means Luffy's now racing with time (as certain member have said) before the birdcage shrinks more and more. Doffy must be put unconscious or barely, in order to cancel the birdcage. Even if Luffy has less chance to win on his own, he at least can inflict high degree of damage on Doffy, and through that, we haven't yet to confirm whether Doffy has higher endurance than him or not. It's Alabasta case all over again.

There are multiple scenarios i can think of in which Luffy could survive, but i don't think it would be wise for him to appear so soon.

How I see it there are 3 options

a) We will get a flashback where Law explains somethign to Luffy
b) Law somehow is using telepathy by means of his df
c) Luffy his Voice Of All Things ability is kicking in and he understands what Law wants to say without Law actually communicating with him in any way

It seems like it's flashback based on how the speech-bubble is drawn and how it's fading to black.

actually A flashback seems like the less likely option to me. 'It says 'What is this?!' I never seen that before a flashback
The speechbubble is exactly the same as how it was when the SeaKings were communicating through whatever means they did(telepathy most likely)

That could be referring to the flashback itself.

I really like the sound of that third option, would be an interesting chapter for sure.

I can see Sabo making another appearance. Last we saw he just released the prisoners from the collseium , surely he cannot be this slow in getting to the palace which isnt that far. Plus by next chapter itd be two chapters since he said his on his way.

I think this is most likely. He swapped his and Luffys brains, which is why he cut himself off in the middle of that sentence.
Buuuut it still wouldn't explain how he would be speaking through his mind.

If he swapped his and Luffy's minds it would mean that Luffy is now in Law's gravely wounded if not dying body. I don't think law would make a d!ck move like that.
I'd like to think that he temporarily placed his mind alongside Luffy's (2 minds in 1 body) but again that brings complications cause I can't see a way forLaw to get back to his own body since DF are bound to the body and not the 'soul' so he would have no way to go back
At this point a flashback may indeed seem the most logical but i still don't believe we will get one
