Agreed another break sucks...I hope this is not one of those Japanese long-ass festivals... :NO: BTW its okay to complain.. we complain every time we get a break... I guess Oda is thinking hard on the next chapters or he's just preparing to make that new One Piece movie

The Usopp stuff was good the flashback was OK I just want Oda to get on with it. Moving slow in my opinion and it doesn't help with all these breaks he takes. I'd rather have a new chapter than a color spread.

OT: It was only one page.... I predict in 2 weeks time we're heading back to the Corrida to see what Sabo did to Burgess. It was 1st anime that was postponed to this week on 15th of March and now manga too?! This new movie must really be enjoyable!

Good chapter

I have mixed feelings about Usopp's actions.
On one hand I am pissed and I find it pathetic that he had to hear his friends/allies death cries to make up his mind. I know he is the running away type of guy but they are a team they set a goal together. That should have been a reason enough to change his mind after running away.
On the other hand the fact that he came up in front of Sugar and Trebol instead of using a sneaky KO strategy is a sign of badassery/loyalty.
In the end, I think Usopp is one step behind the rest of the crew when it comes to sacrificing him self for them. He is going to do it, but he seems to need more reasons from the rest of the guys to stand up and face a difficult situation.

I enjoyed the flashback, I was really interested in Kyros but I felt it was a short chapter, I expected a little more action at the end.

Dont forget that Kyros is the one that the Tontata people believe can bring down DD. I think knowing where he is coming from is important fr the development of the plot. The breaks suck though :/

Well it was what I said last week: Usopp runs but eventually stops and fights after some emotional speech. Emotionally this chapter had quite a heavy load, still it irks me that Usopp first started running again with the real intention of saving his own life. I would have preferred that he simply would have hid himself or something, not knowing what to do and then comes forward after the Tontatta's cries. Awesome to see him say the truth so bluntly for a change, don't think he has done that often before.

And Kyros is starting to become an interesting character.

Yeah my boy Usopp pulled trough. Dem shurikens tho, cut trebol like butter, although it was expected, damn you can't hate Usopp after this, he was manly, and like Cali said he said the truth just like that no sugar coating. Next we go to Kyros/Curos, whatever and see how he got in the colosseum, he already had a tough life before becoming a toy. Solid chapter, really emotional and Usopp was just cool. In Usopp I believe. 4/5

About the color spread, what can I say, just look at Zoro, god damn he's badass, and Sanji with that minigun on his shoulder too.

Yeah I forgot to mention that the look in her eyes is quite peculiar, meaning she is going to do something unexpected, however I'm not instantly going into the direction of 'the next Strawhat'. People really should stop doing that with every new character that the Strawhats encounter.

I was reading it and thinking just the same.

At times I think the character usopp regresses more than it should to its "pre-timeskip" persona. The time skip served as a way to make them grow and better themselves, overcoming their "weaknesses". All of them did that not only in terms of abilities but also in terms of their personality. However, its a bit annoying that usopp at times regresses to the coward he was before in such a drastic manner.

However, I'm still wondering how the hell can he win against a logia without haki?

And yeah... the whole next strawhat thing is a bit too easiler thrown out. Remember, the strawhats already have their additional member: Jinbei. He agreed to become their nakama and crewmember. He is simply taking this time to take care of some business he had to do. In theory we can even argue there will be no more crewmembers for the strawhats.

If we turn Trebol into a rly easy opponent that is still a logia Usopp has his weird ammunition and can use his surroundings to his advantage,he is good at that and so he could find a way to beat him.

But when you think of how strong Trebol is I doubt he will actually beat him,most likely either stall for time or incapacitate him for a bit so the others could get away and rethink the strategy
