The chapter was okay but I don't understand why did the rulers/Riku Royal Family burned down their own village and castle?? (or did doffy frame them?:erm
. Also the dwarves of tontatta currently make a big portion of Riku Royal forces, does that mean after Norland helped them defeat 'evil' people 400 years ago, they also ruled dressrosa with Rebecca's Riku family?
Well I'm pretty sure that that close-up was from Diamante, who is one of Doflamingo's men. So you can be sure Dolfamingo has been doing some very shady stuff there. I mean Rebecca was living with her mother in a normal house and was talking about selling flowers. Does that look like something people from a royal family would do?

Probably because a lot of people are saying she will join the crew, which is IMO without a real basis. She has as much chance to join as several other characters. And because a lot of people don't want her to join, they hate on her.
I don't hate her character, but I don't find her character really interesting either. If someone is going to join the Strawhats, I don't want it to be her.

I'm just having a hard time finding the importance of this chapter.. We get all this info about Rebecca, but does her role really extend beyond this arc? Don't think so..
Storywise, all we got was Rebecca walking to the arena..
Did you consider the possibility then that her history is relevant to the current arc? Since when are character flash-backs the privilege of characters that will be going around for several arcs?
Logically you can't find the importance of this chapter, no one can estimate that correctly yet, or has the arc finished yet? Her history currently ties itself with the history of Doflamingo, Dressrosa, the Fairies and whatever happened between all of them so many centuries ago. It might even stretch all the way back to the Void century.
Fact is that her background is currently more relevant to the story than the flash-backs we had from Don Chinjao and Bartolomeo.
