TECHNICALLY! Luffy should be able too. His body is rubber and he can take more then most.. I remember them explaining why he is able to get Gear 2nd. and its because his body is rubber or something

Normally not as all the artificially made DF are Zoan typs, not logia. Also if it's artificially made, it can't really be called 'Ace's fruit', so I'm inclined to believe that that is the real, original Mera Mera no Mi. Thus there isn't anything for the moment that states that DF other than Zoan types can be made and thus neither a Gomu Gomu no Mi.

Also Oda himself confirmed that there can be only one of each DF at a time, so when Ace died, the Mera Mera no Mi came back into existence. How that now exactly happens or works is probably still the biggest mystery of OP behind the One Piece itself.

Well, we do know the Devil Fruits have some kind of demons inside them, or maybe just normal souls. There is actually a big chance of them having different personalities, just like human beings, considering they fight each other when being eaten by the same person.

These souls are fruits around the whole world, just as we all know. They have no chance of moving while being a fruit or living inside the fruit. So just considering they might have personalities, what if they have the desire to get their own body? They want to move on their own, see the world as well, so they turn into fruits for people to eat them.

After eating them, these souls coming from the Devil Fruits becomes a part of the person's body and original soul. The souls want their "eater" for themselves, but when the person eats a second Devil Fruit, it becomes a fight for the body. None of these souls win, and the body gets destroyed.

They are just borrowing humans to fulfill their own desires, but they aren't totally half-hearted. As thanks for the body, the souls give the "eater" an unique power, a Devil Fruit power. All the souls are coming from the nature, so naturally they each have their own power, one having fire powers while another having rubber powers.

When a Devil Fruit user dies, just like Ace, the soul leaves the body for good. They have no need for a body that can't move, so they return to find another host. They return to the place they once called home, a certain island called Raftel. Somewhere on that island, a tree sticks up from the earth, holding many different fruits. This tree can also be called Uranus, one of the three ancient weapons.

That is my theory on the whole Devil Fruit thing, though I stole the last part with the tree on Raftel ^_^

WOW! Just wow. Way too much to talk about at 1AM. It looks like the whole deck of cards theme is real. Don Flamingo looks to be the hearts since that was the only seat with no one sitting in it.

Then we got Ace's fruit.....It just can't not be used. I has to be somehow. It would be boring if it wasn't. So who will eat it? Usopp? One of the new admirals whenever they get introduced? Someone that hasn't been introduced yet that Luffy will feel entrusted to eat because they are a good friend? Your guess is as good as mine.

Buggy is now a confirmed Shichibukai which we all knew would happen. They also confirmed the 6 we knew and also confirmed that we did not know who the 7th one is. This is just as important as the confirmation of Buggy.

Lastly we got to know the reason for Momonosuke being with CC and why Kinemon went to rescue him.

I think those are the main talking points for the chapter. 5/5 for me.

Its an interesting question as to what will happen to the Mera Mera fruit, and even how the fruit came into existence. I think its been suggested before that devil fruits recycle, so this could be a good opportunity for them to explain a little bit more about them. For as many chapters as its been, we really don't know much about them. I can see something happening where Luffy destroys it. I think that may be more fitting than seeing another character with Ace's power.

That 7th Shichibuki looks like Kidd's second in command, Killer. The guy who had the scythes on his arms.Though that would be sort of a weird person to hide from us, so who knows. Maybe it will end up being Sabo.

Only one seat was empty: that one of the hearts and in an earlier chapter Buffalo said that Doflamingo was saving it for Law. Originally two seats were empty at the start of the chapter, however the clubs-seat was taken by that Trevor guy. The spade and diamond seats were both already taken.

Also the 7th Shichibukai wasn't shown, if you are referring to that panel with the newspaper and the sleeves, that was commodore Brannew.

I think people are just confused still on how the DF comes to be. The theory of the DF tree was a theory way before we got to see how smile's fruit was reborn. The other part is people say it is the closest fruit to where the "devil" can go and then it transforms the fruit. That's what happened on Punk Hazard anyways. It could have been pure coincidence too. Maybe BB was able to get WB's DF because he had a partly digested fruit in his stomach and it formed in there. *shrugs* The closest fruit idea does sound plausible, but anywhere in the world makes more sense.

As for Magellan, I thought he was demoted to vice warden in the manga cover page awhile back.

I don't see Magellan as the new admiral, and i hope no one starts with the idea that Sabo will be the new shichibukai. Dressrosa's arc begins now, I don't see Luffy eating Ace's fruit, it would be against his own rules of acquiring power, we all now how luffy hates being stronger when not being fair.

You mean the girl with the pizza? That's Bonney, one of the 11 Supernova's, the one that got caught by Blackbeard and given to the Marines after the war, but before the time skip.

Uh, that got me thinking. What if it really is about a certain "soul" "spirit" of the devil fruit? Blackbeard is able to absorb anything, maybe even the spirit within the devil fruit, or the soul of a person, which in turn prevents it from finding a new host (fruit), and gives the power to him. His atypical body, aka, dark, allows him to shift and relocate the souls/devils, giving me all the powers he wants
