Zoro had was just being a softy.
I loved the line about wild animal. It's also nice to see that Monet is out of picture without further dragging of her role. NB theory makers running with ideas of her having a "good side" and being under pressure can rest now.

That was the chapter of Zoro we were waiting all along...pure badassery!He can even cut a logia in half without the use of haki and with only "fear" in his enemies he can imobillize them!

The wait to see how powerful luffy is just got more intense.
On another note, it looks like Zoro's next bounty might really be quite high. I hated it when people kept saying it'd rise to 230mil max, now it looks like it could potentially be around the 300mil mark.

As for Zoro's eye. Im pretty sure it is simply a training method. I dont know if you guys have ever read a Korean Manga called Ares, but its about a soldier that got cut in one of his eyes and couldnt see out of it. So he had to train himself to fight with simply the one eye. Having only one eye decreases your depth perception and makes everything blurry. To train to the point where your depth perception is back to normal with only one eye and everything is now more clear.
This is also a way to develop the brain. each eye coordinates with the opposite hemisphere of the brain. I believe it is Zoro's Left Eye that has the scar with it closed, and the right eye is open, which means that he is developing the left hemisphere of his brain; which controls language math and logic, strategy, numbers, direction and reasoning. Things which we all know that Zoro lacks.
I predict that later on Zoro will have to open his eye against a stronger opponent and will unleash hell upon earth, not unlike Zaraki. U_U

Well that's pretty much what I have been saying ever since the timeskip started, that he's keeping his eye closed on purpose and only opens it when he has to be serious. Even in the case it's purely cosmetic, it's über badass.
And yes I've read Ares, still one of the most wackiest manga's I ever read.
