A battle that lasted 10 days! Akainu winnning isn't a surprise since Magma > Ice but looks like it was still a hell of a fight. I hope the anime can give us a filler on that.
I'm getting the feeling he joined Dragon's army.....at least I hope.

The way Blackbeard absorbs ones Devils fruit powers is through his own Devils fruit.

Blackbeards Yami Yami no mi is unique even for Logia, there are couple of traits that make it unique. (Not gonna go into them).

The Yami Yami no mi's main power is to absorb and devour anything.
In my theory, the absorption and devouring even includes DF powers.

As we have seen, when BB uses his DF when fighting other DFs, when he touches them with his darkness, they lose their DF power. My theory is that the darkness tries to pull the DF power and devour the DF power(Much like Pains soul absorption in Naruto), but since the user of the DF is still alive, BB cannot completely devour it, only pull it in, and once he loses contact with the opponent, the powers return into the opponent.

In my opinion, when BB is fighting a DF user, and nullifies their power when hes touching them, his darkness powers are actually trying to absorb the opponents DF powers, but since the opponent is still alive, the powers are still strongly attached to the persons life force, soul, body, whatever. Once the opponent is dead, there isn't anything stopping BBs darkness from absorbing and devouring the opponents DF powers.

I believe in order to take over someone df power the owner had to die,only then you can completely absorb his ability,until then they can use their ability unless touched.
in other words,that complete absorption technique probably won't work if user is still alive(it's kind of ritual and maybe owner will oppose it physically and spiritually). so bb has to kill so df users then absorb his ability and maybe transferit to his own nakama.

They'll probably just have a mutual enemy, like when Croc worked together with Luffy, since Akainu will most likely turn the Marines into alot more violent organization with his sence of absolute justice.

So in the end, Luffy will be pirate king and Aokiji will most likely be the fleet admiral.

They will most certainly run into Kuzan soon on their adventure into the new world. My thoughts are now F Jinbei I hope they can find a way to get Kuzan to join, but it's a long shot XD.

-Aokiji leaving the marines after losing to Akainu, I wonder what will happen if the Strawhats ever meet Aokiji again..
-Blackbeard is now a Yonkou and actually looking for strong Fruits meaning he can absorb even more, overpowered much :|
-The 3rd ancient weapon is called Uranus, good to know o.o
-The strawhats are probably gonna encounter Big Mam soon.. they shouldn't be ready for that yet U_U

Akainu is still one man, so unless some new powerful marines show up, the marines will be no threat to the Straw Hats for the exception of Akainu.

Aokiji left, shocked to hear that. Aokiji always did his own thing anyway, letting Nico Robin flee the destruction of her people. Letting the Straw Hats escape the first time they encountered one another.

I can't wait for Blackbeard and Luffy to fight again, Luffy's Haki will be strong enough to negate Blackbeards abilities.

Awesome chapter!!! Had it coming, the third weapon!!!! Theories fell in place as lot of people guessed it and hope this is in relating with the SKY!!!

Akainu is the fleet admiral (God!!! Absolute justice sucks!!!). Oda is trying to make World Government look Bad!!! The Upper Echelons recommended him over Aaokiji which makes me feel that they are in league with Akainu (sounding bad). Aokiji lost which was expected but the built up of the fight was good (10 Days ...... Marineford Arc was less than 4 hrs). And why does Aokiji hate Akainu??? (Any particular reason?? Probably Ohara Incident??) Aokiji left marines is something that has to be the outcome of the battle. But he admires Garp and loves justice (world government), I have a feeling that he may not join Luffy or the revolutionaries. He more over loves doing nothing (Probably Retires on an island in New World). He might become an ally to luffy at some point!!!

Blackbeard was expected (but didn't think it would happen without a fight). His powers are weird and as LILI-Chwan theorized, he is looking for one particular DF!!! Got to wait to see which one that is (And hope the guy having it is not a douche).
