But Luffy fighting Jinbei seems a bit odd at this point, unless Jinbei is highely underestimating Luffy. I wouldn't say that Luffy would win, however at this point I would say that who ever wins isn't going to get out of unharmed, which means that person would be at a huge disadvantage when he fights against Hody + steroids pill. I'm going to say now something I've been thinking for a while, well more like dreaming there's zero proof for it, but I always had the image that there was a huge war in the void century between the unknown civilization and the WG and the Fishmen were allied with the unknown civilization. Because they lost the war Fishmen got discriminated because they supported them. That ponyglyph was an apology from one of the survivors for all the suffering the Fishmen had to endure...just a wild guess xd

Even though I have absolutely no proof, I'd be more inclined to say that this apology is aimed at those who suffered from the giant war machine (the blueprints were destroyed if I remember correctly). Or simply an apology for building it in the first place

That was one of the weapons, called Pluton, however we know that there's at least one more weapon called Poseidon.

I kinda disagree with your statements about Zoro. Oda created a bit of a problem for himself. He let the Strawhats train for two years so that they could be strong enough for the New World, so he can't make it so that they loose so easily/just loose/or barely win in a straight physical confrontation with Hody and his gang. I mean they already beat Arlong in the beginning of One Piece and now their strength should have been multiplied tremendously. However you can't just let the Strawhats win everything with ease. I mean the Neptune Army, King Neptune and Hody were all completely owned by Zoro & the rest. So Oda had to find a way to make it so that the Strawhats don't loose face after loosing, but that their opponents can't be considered stronger than them either.

Solution: those pills and under water battles. Hody got completely owned by Zoro, however then by eating those pills his strength multiplies tremendously. So you could say he "cheats" as normally he's weaker, but he uses dope. Then no matter how strong the Strawhats are, they still need air. So it was quite a simple, but brilliant move of Oda to let them be captured like that as they don't loose face.

And Zoro has been in such situations before, so saying that he never would say such a thing is not true. They're in a very lethal situation and he just sits back, relaxes and leaves it up to fate. When they invaded Ennies Lobby he also just left it up to fate when they jumped with the sea train over the fence without a care in the world. When he was trapped by mr 3 on the dino-island he and some of the others were being changed into wax statues. First he was cutting off his own feet again without a care in the world, but then left it to Luffy when he arrived. Because it took Luffy some time he just chose the most awesome pose as a statue and waited without any kind of worries, even though he could get killed by lack of air.

Just sitting back while he's tied up by heavy chains in a small steel cage without a care in the world is pretty much Zoro's personality. If he had his swords he probably could escape in a flash, even tied up, though they took his swords away.

I believe Zoro was just forced to sit back and wait for luffy. The reason i think this is i believe he was trying to protect the king or something from getting hurt. Like Hodi used the king as a sheild forcing Zoro to surrender as Zoro doesn't look hurt enough to have had a propper battle with Hodi.

I think it will be either a quick fight with luffy on jinbei, which will result in luffy saying sorry as he beats jinbei. Or that someone will stop them saying this is no time for them to be fighting each other.

As for the message, i like Bugs' Idea about the war, but i don't think its that. I wanna know though :T_T:

That's great. It would definitely make it even more interesting. I'm so intrigued by these damn ponyglyphs...
Though I don't know if that's the sole reason why Fishman are discriminated.
Fishmen are the non-human creators more close to the humans. All the other species are from a far away island, such as Giants and two joint-legs and arms and skypeans. Most don't show up in the human world, whereas Fishmen are so close that they're more feared.

They caught Zoro when he was out of air >.> even a monster like Zoro doesn't have an unlimited air supply and, unlike Brook an Usopp, he didn't have a bubble. The previous image of Zoro was when he said he was out of air and got surrounded by Fishmen.

Damn nice chapter. The minimap has been made and a time limit has been set. All the ingredients that Oda needs to start an ass kicking festival.

I liked all of the Jump manga's this week btw O.O

I get Jinbe's point of view, but Luffy has some good points too. I think they will exchange some punches. But in the end i think they will fight alongside eachother again and the people of Fishman island see Jinbe a big name working together with Luffy a big name from the surface defeating Hody (the killer of Otohime ?).

And the colourspreads were awesome. I wonder what goes around in Oda's head to come up with stuff like that.

And I think Usopp will get them out of there. He always has tricks like that. Or maybe Brook uses a skeleton key to open the cage YOHOHOHO

I really liked this chapter. Hodi needs to get his ass kisked by someone. & Luffy & Jinbe fighting next chapter that will be a great fight if it really happens. & I am very interested with the Robin side of this arc. I wonder who the letters to or who wrote it? But I think somehow the ponyglyph will somehow fill in the blanks to why the Fishmen are treated the why they are.

I don't think we should underestimate Jinbe. He fought three days day and night vs Ace on land. I think Ace was stronger then luffy pre timeskip. Don't know where to place luffy now yet but Jinbei won't be a walkover in his own territory. But i don't think they will fight maybe some wrestling, one punch, bloody nose, stuff like that but no one is going down. I think it will be interrupted maybe by Dan or Van der decken if he is stupid enough to follow shirahosi. We haven't seen caribou in a while too.
