[Discussion] One Piece: Hand Island no Bouken Special

Not sure if anyone has linked this yet so I figured I'd share it. I think it came out today.

Synopsis of It

The story of the Hand Island no Bouken special is set a little before the events of One Piece Film Z and depicts a major "Hand Island" incident during the New World storyline. The story is set at "Cannon Town" where a parent and a child work as craftspeople. The incident revolves around them and a commodore of a marine base. The special will also have a flashback scene to the story in the first chapter of the manga, but with new animation.

Narutobase holds several forum sections reserved for other manga/anime discussion. As such, this happens to be the One Piece section, and as such it makes sense to be here.

OT: Sounds like it doesn't involve the Straw Hats except in the flashback for Luffy....or am I just getting the wrong idea?! I'll probably watch it later on!

It does envolve all the strawhats, it's just that somewhere inbetween we saw luffy's flasback about shanks.

Everyone was involved in this , thats what made me happy. We also got to see coby in action. seems like he can use his haki to attack sorta like sentomaru

Also, for the first time in the anime, the story of how Luffy got the scar under his eye is animated.

Anybody else surprised/excited by Colby's Massive Powerup...

1st time we've seen Colby post time-skip and he is massively powerful. I was very surprised.. and now look forward for him and Luffy to meet again... he destroyed one of the cannonballs with his bare fist like his mentor and Luffy's Granpa...

Coby and Hellmeppo have become a couple of big shots. Coby's rokushiki techniques and haki have become well trained too.
