I just had this crazy idea.
Looking back on the Manga, Oda seems to introduce characters and items, that are seemingly random and useless, but then play a role quite important in the series. this was seen countless of times. One example, Luffy retrieves a glass bracelet from Perona's treasure and wears it on the arm. Later in the series, at Impel Down, that bracelet turns out to be a map to Captain John's Treasure, which he wanted, and thus he helped Luffy. Earlier on the series, Mr 3 defied Crocodile, and was dried up and thrown to the Banadile's Aquarium. When Luffy and the others were trapped inside, and Crocodile had given them a fake key, it was only because Mr 3 resurfaced that they were able to escape. Likewise, Mr 3 just happened to be on top of Ace's execution stage when Luffy's key to Ace's handcuffs was destroyed by Kizaru.
So if we look at this chapter, what random item did the Straw Hats just happened to bring to the island? That's right, Caribou. He has the Swamp Swamp Fruit, and he has explained that with his fruit, much like Blackbeard's he can simply suck people into the mud, and keep them on his body, like an alternative dimension. Where am I going with this?
Well, Caribou is useless, yet no Devil Fruit is useless. I think Caribou will, out of nowhere, or maybe forced by the Straw Hats, or the other Fishman, suck Noah inside the swamp. Maybe Noah will stop following Shirahoshi and fall into FI, maybe the 3 Princes will try to stop, find out they can't,then all Fishpeople and Merkfolk will try to help, and then the Straw hats will finally be able to push it out of FI's way. Maybe it will continue to pursue Shirahoshi, despite Vander Decken's death. Either way, I think ultimately, Caribou will suck it. xd
