Ok but how does that even work?
Observation Haki can't take in account df powers for example when "scanning" how strong people are
So Luffy should know who is stronger right now? him or Doflamingo?..
What if Rayleigh just sensed the number, and knew that all the big animals were stronger than Luffy ?
No you're not reading what I'm saying, I'm agreeing with you. I think sensing power is weird. Maybe you can sense it globally but not precise. Luffy could sense Caribou in FI, but called him a large animal or a beast. He didn't know what or who.
If Rayleigh senses 99 big monsters after the elephant fight and he knows Luffy's limitations, than he can just say, well Luffy you're not ready for all these animals yet.

Doflamingo spent most of his time running away from Luffy.
I'm only guess is that Doflamingo has a plan, since that's his specialty.

Well hmm not really epic good but not epic. The most interesting part for me was the fact that Luffy get's stronger or better to say faster stronger in a real battle then durring training so i am somewhat convinced that he would have been stronger now if he continued to sail the oceans and have regular though battles.
I liked Burndy World, he fitted very well in this part of the story
He was not so much different from Luffy in his earlyer days, but when his Nakama ran "betrayed" him he became bitter
Maybe that's why he made so many comments on Luffy not being able to save anyone. he was indeed angry his nakama abandoned him but maybe more so he was angry at himself for not being able to protect them as a captain which forced them to retreat.
Everytime he badmouted Luffy i got the feeling he was talking to his past self also.
In the end he had a sad death tbh, when Mihawk casually cut that huge cannonball he must have realized he was to weak and fighting only for himself had gained him nothing
I also liked his elder brother, staying right beside him till the end
