(yeah, even Boruto because he hasn't proven to be all that formidable yet). Mainly because she's older than them though
I honestly hope you are joking because he fodderizes the entire next generation by feats, and is the most prodigous of his generation by feats.

I watched Boruto: Naruto the Movie, so I'm well aware of his capabilities.
Boruto has that special vanishing Rasengan going for him. His strategic feats are nothing really impressive. He used some decent, devious tactics during the Chunin Exams. And his victory over Momoshiki was obviously thanks to the chakra Naruto lent him and the plan Sasuke came up with.
By feats, Boruto is average. By expectations we have for him due to his parentage and him being the new main character, he's formidable.
Naruto = Sasuke, Kurama = Sharingan/Rinnegan/Rinnesharingan.
Boruto < Sarada, average chakra reserves < Sharingan.
And Mitsuki just seems way too much of a skilled genius to be taken down by Boruto as they are as we've seen them.
Plot would have to give Boruto major power-ups for him to gain superiority over his teammates.

She is older than Boruto’s generation the same way Hana, Kiba’s older Sister was not consider part of Naruto’s generation.

Yeah, I know. She's a new generation character nonetheless.
As far as Konoha is concerned, we've only seen Minato's (well, most of his gen. K11 parents), Kakashi's, Naruto's, and Boruto's full generations.
Hashirama, Tobirama, Madara, Izuna
Hiruzen, Danzo
Jiraiya, Tsunade, Orochimaru
Itachi, Shisui, Iruka, Izumo, Kotetsu (younger than Kakashi, older than Naruto.)
Konohamaru, Udon, Moegi
Mirai (how lonely)
Those are incomplete generations.

haha I used to think she was a dude, too. Kind of looks of Shisui

No room for her, I suppose. And she's not in the same generation as Boruto. I think she's however much older than Boruto as Iruka is of Naruto.
So that could explain her absence

You'd be correct in thinking that Mirai is much older than Boruto's generation. Remember, Mirai was born some time just before or at the onset of the 4th great shinobi war. Boruto was born some time after the events of The Last (although in hindsight, depending on how old hokage Naruto is, Boruto may have actually been born when Naruto was 19 which was only two years after the war. I suppose it is possible that Mirai is only 2 to 3 years older than Boruto.)

How are you going to say you watched the Movie but you wrote an entire paragraph of nonsense?

Nope. Boruto has the Rasengan, and the Vanishing Rasengan, which according to Kakashi, any Rasengan variant becomes S Rank. If you didn't know, Bolt increased the size of his Rasengan at the very end of the movie before the credits.

Strategeic feats? Can you name one character who has strategic feats in the Next Generation? Anyway, Boruto used a shadow clone to tag himself into Shikidai's shadow possession jutsu, allowing another Boruto to jump off of that clone and come inside Shikidai's range for close combat. If you don't understand how intellectual that was, basically Boruto allowed Shikidai to capture his clone with shadow possession jutsu, knowing that Shikidai would have focused on that clone with the technique, allowing another version of him to come into Shikidai's range to attack him while his technique was already attached to someone else, meaning he was defenseless. The only counter Shikidai had for this, was the expanding shadow technique. Mind you in this fight alone, Boruto used one technique, the shadow clone jutsu, while Shikidai had to resort to using two after Boruto started to use 'strategy'.

Defeating Momoshiki? Excuse me... where exactly did you see the panel of Sasuke and Boruto's conversation to defeat Momoshiki? That's because you didn't. What you did see what Naruto and Boruto making the Father/Son Rasengan, and immediately afterwards Boruto and Sasuke started to take down Momoshiki. There wasn't even an on screen shadow clone being made for Bolt that transformed into Sasuke's sword. Both Sasuke and Boruto were working together as master and student, they didn't need time to make a plan, this was the performance of their skills.

By feats, Boruto is a Genius.

- Mastered the A Rank Rasengan, full sized by the End of the Movie.
- Learned to utilize three elemental natures, when most Jonin ranked only learn/master two.
- Applied nature chakra to his Rasengan, which made the ability S Rank in difficulty.
- Stated that the Rasengan itself is the highest form of shape manipulation, and Boruto took it on another level by making the Vanishing Rasengan, plus, it was noted by Naruto that making this technique was impossible, which Kakashi noted that he needed to use clones to eaven the process. And Bolt does this without shadow clones. Naruto too after receiving Rikudou chakra.
- Sasuke taught him shuriken jutsu, which he excelled at until he got extremely impatient with the second step, which involved hitting two shuriken at once to move the direction of the arc.

Yeah who else has this amount of feats, or Genius? Shikidai? He learned the shadow possession jutsu, hardly impressive. The expanding shadow technique shows his Genius, for sure, but, it wouldn't be on the same level as learning the A Rank Rasengan, or the S rank Rasengan /w chakra nature.

Sarada? Mastered CES at a young age, clearly a talented kunoichi. However, CES is only a C Rank technique via databook, making that compared to Boruto's techniques, lackluster.

Mitsuki? He doesn't have one feat bar stretching his arms once in the Movie ... So the fact that you are hyping a feat-less character is beyond me. Will Mitsuki being strong? Clearly, but the lack of feats here is confusing, especially when you know so 'little' about the Movie.

I don't know what comparisons you were trying to make below, but like I said before, by feats, Boruto can defeat any next generation kid. Right now he isn't inferior to Sarada, Shikidai, or anyone else for that matter. In fact, he can even defeat Part 2 Sakura (early) before the Sasori fight, the one who fought Kakashi. All by feats.

Sarada and Shikadai are both stronger than Boruto, in a battle.

Sarada is proficient in Medical Ninjutsu, as well as Chakra Enhanced Strength, and has not shown to be lackluster at all in speed. In fact, Sarada is as strong as Sakura during the Sasori fight, seeing as she has higher advancement of Shurikenjutsu than Boruto, and is just as fast if not faster, by feats.
Sarada has Two Tomoe Sharingan, Chakra Enhanced Strength, Mystical Palm Jutsu, and Equal Physical Feats to Boruto. She stalemates or beats him.

Shikadai clearly outclasses the entire new generation, except Sarada and Boruto. His use of the Shadow jutsu, as well as his chakra reserves being closer to his mother's, make him a formidable shinobi. His only shortcoming is physical stamina, and perseverance.

Overall I would rank them, as of the credits of the Boruto Movie,

1. Sarada who is equal to Sasori Fight Sakura
2. Shikadai Who is Equal to Hidan Fight Shikamaru
3. Boruto Who is Equal to VOTE Naruto

Boruto just lacks the ability to match up to people with comparable Destructive Capabilities, seen as his fight with Yurui, and he cannot beat Shikadai, seeing as none of his post credit upgrades equate to his escape of Expanding Shadow Jutsu.

With what feats?

Sarada is proficient in Medical Ninjutsu, as well as Chakra Enhanced Strength, and has not shown to be lackluster at all in speed. Yet I don't see how any of this is enough to defeat Boruto, and mind you, Sarada has a one tomoe Sharingan.

Boruto overpowers her in CQC with shadow clones, and the Sharingan won't help her out considering VOTE2 showcased how effective the Sharingan is against shadow clones, mind you that was a 3T Sharingan, and Sasuke is faster than base Naruto. Boruto and Sarada aren't on a scale when it comes to speed, for the lack of feats there are.

Shikadai clearly outclasses the entire new generation, except Sarada and Boruto. His use of the Shadow jutsu, as well as his chakra reserves being closer to his mother's, make him a formidable shinobi. His only shortcoming is physical stamina, and perseverance.
I don't disagree with you here.

Boruto > Sarada > Shikidai

Overall I would rank them, as of the credits of the Boruto Movie,
Alright...

1. Sarada who is equal to Sasori Fight Sakura
2. Shikadai Who is Equal to Hidan Fight Shikamaru
3. Boruto Who is Equal to VOTE Naruto
I. Sarada is equal to Part 2 Sakura before the Sasori fight
II. Shikidai isn't stronger than Hidan Shikamaru, plus, Shikamaru's intelligence feats blow him out of the water.
III. Boruto isn't stronger than VOTE Naruto, none of them are.

Boruto just lacks the ability to match up to people with comparable Destructive Capabilities, seen as his fight with Yurui, and he cannot beat Shikadai, seeing as none of his post credit upgrades equate to his escape of Expanding Shadow Jutsu.
I. Boruto figured out how to beat Yurui, but used the KOTE to defeat him instead after he cracked under pressure of Naruto watching him.
You must be registered for see images

II. Shikidai gets stammered by post-Boruto with the full sized Vanishing Rasengan

The kid already pressured Shikidai into using his expanding shadow technique:

Bolt allowed his shadow clones to be tagged into shikidai's shadow possession technique, which allowed another Boruto to hop off of the clone, and come towards Shikidai with CQC. Pure strategy. Shikidai countered it by tagging them all with the expanding shadow technique. If it wasn't for that, Bolt would of won the match.

Let it be known that Boruto only used one technique in that match, and had counters for all of his moves until that new ability came out. But apparently Boruto's Rasengan won't turn the tides? Especially when Shikidai won't see it coming, and it's as powerful as a regular Rasengan considering Boruto increased the size before the Credits :lol

I just really think the fact that Boruto is Naruto's son and the new main character is clouding your judgment.
You're also overestimating basic Rasengan. Vanishing Rasengan, too (I came up with that name lol). First of all, Boruto wouldn't even attempt to hit his friends with a direct Rasengan, due to its lethality. He'd only have the opportunity to surprise them with Vanishing Rasengan, using it as some sort of diversion. If Boruto were to fail in creating a diversion with Vanishing Rasengan, he wouldn't be able to use it again successfully because Sarada, Mitsuki, and Shikadai would all discover its mechanics after seeing it the first time.

And about the Momoshiki fight, Sasuke was the one to discover the utility of Boruto's Vanishing Rasengan. It's obvious that Sasuke was the one to conceive the plan to defeat Momoshiki. He led the charge.

Naruto only grew to be as strong as he is thanks to Kurama's chakra. Mastery over three elemental natures is what mainly makes Boruto special, combat-wise. However, that is a far cry from having the most powerful Tailed Beast's chakra at your disposal. Muu, Onoki, Darui, Sai, Kurotsuchi ,and Mei are some of the many shinobi who possess and mastered multiple elemental natures, yet they are from below Naruto's level. So I don't understand what makes you think Boruto is a god among his peers.

Impressive feats of others of Boruto's generations (contains speculations and assumptions. Realistic ones though):
Sarada: Ease of passing both written and combative tests. Sakura-level physical strength. Sasuke/Itachi/Kakashi-level prodigy, smart beyond her age.
Mitsuki: His cunning reminds me of Kabuto's. Has even ninjutsu than base Kabuto though. Light-hearted personality, but also very smart for his age.
Shikadai: Effortlessly pulls of ingenious strategies. It's obvious that he's made out to be as smart as Shikamaru was when he was that age. That says enough in itself. He underestimated Boruto during the Chunin Exams. It's easy to imagine how formidable he'd be when he's serious and not looking down on his opponent.
Metal Lee: Likely can open up to five gates because this generation is supposed to be more impressive than Part 1 Naruto's. Boruto could do nothing against the fifth gate.
Inojin: Mind-transfer abilities, Super Beast Imitation Drawing, and kenjutsu.
Shinki: Iron sand and puppet mastery.

And they likely all possess near the same prowess of using shuriken/kunai, substitution clones, and other basic combat essentials.

The new generation is much more balanced than Naruto's, where Naruto himself and Sasuke fodderize their peers. Only seventh gate Lee would be able to at least give them a challenge.

It's clear as day to me that Boruto is on par with, if not inferior, to Sarada and Mitsuki. Being that this is Naruto and not DBZ, I place my faith in intelligence rather than a flashy arsenal. Not that Boruto isn't smart, but Kishi has made it clear that Sarada and Mitsuki are geniuses. Boruto would absolutely have to get a major chakra boost to top them.
I love Naruto, but give him the same amount of chakra as geniuses like Sasuke, Kakashi, and Itachi, he becomes inferior to them.
Not sure how much more chakra Boruto has than his peers thanks to being 25% Uzumaki (people forget that he's 25% Namikaze), but I'm sure it's not a significant difference.

Clouding my judgement :lol

I think you are underestimating the Rasengan. Anyway, I don't really care what Boruto would or wouldn't do to his friends, in a match-up those don't count. It's fight to live. Obviously Boruto wouldn't want to kill his comrades, but that's aside the point.

If Boruto were to fail in creating a diversion with Vanishing Rasengan, he wouldn't be able to use it again successfully because Sarada, Mitsuki, and Shikadai would all discover its mechanics after seeing it the first time.
I don't see how that would work considering you can't see the Rasengan after it becomes invisible. Literally, even Momoshiki with sensing capabilities wasn't able to locate it after it disappeared. So understanding the mechanics of seeing it go away, is understandable. But having the knowledge to predict where it would target? I highly doubt it.

And about the Momoshiki fight, Sasuke was the one to discover the utility of Boruto's Vanishing Rasengan. It's obvious that Sasuke was the one to conceive the plan to defeat Momoshiki. He led the charge.
> Correct
> Nope. Especially when the final battle had nothing to do with Boruto's Vanishing Rasengan, but the Father/Son Rasengan.

Don't confuse faulty logic with the facts, they worked together, end of the story.

Naruto only grew to be as strong as he is thanks to Kurama's chakra. Mastery over three elemental natures is what mainly makes Boruto special, combat-wise. None of which Bolt's peers are anything special too, everyone is normal, with a KKG mounted in a few. His feats are enough to make him the most talented of the group, anyone with a normal level cognizance can see it.

Impressive feats of others of Boruto's generations (contains speculations and assumptions. Realistic ones though):
Sarada: Ease of passing both written and combative tests. Sakura-level physical strength. Sasuke/Itachi/Kakashi-level prodigy, smart beyond her age.
> Everyone passed the written test and combative test.

The only reason why Boruto failed the written test, was not because he failed to understand the second part, it was because he failed to continue. The second part showcased a shinobi that manages to 'not forfeit' when things get hard, will continue and become shinobi capable of the Chunin title.

What Bolt lacked compared to his generation was the fact that he gave up easily, and searched for short cuts.

> Having Sakura's Part 2 (early) level CES, as stated, was impressive. But compared to Bolt's feats? Nah, mate.

> None of Sarada's intelligence feats, or Bolt's for that matter, are compared to anyone that is 'intelligent'. So I'm not sure what you are trying to compensate for, especially when there is nothing there. Fun fact though, Boruto's Movie DB profile stated he was overflowing with intelligence.

:lol

Mitsuki: His cunning reminds me of Kabuto's. Has even ninjutsu than base Kabuto though. Light-hearted personality, but also very smart for his age.
So basically your writing out assumptions?

Shikadai: Effortlessly pulls of ingenious strategies. It's obvious that he's made out to be as smart as Shikamaru was when he was that age. That says enough in itself. He underestimated Boruto during the Chunin Exams. It's easy to imagine how formidable he'd be when he's serious and not looking down on his opponent.
I don't think you understand the word underestimate. Especially when Shikidai was forced to go all out - Using his secret technique against Bolt when the boy figured out a way inside his range. The one who underestimated who was Bolt who only used one technique against Shikidai, and then relied on the device for the other 50% of the match. It's easy to imagine how formidable he'd be when he's serious and not looking down on his own abilities

Metal Lee: Likely can open up to five gates because this generation is supposed to be more impressive than Part 1 Naruto's. Boruto could do nothing against the fifth gate.
Another speculation that has no grounding.

Inojin: Mind-transfer abilities, Super Beast Imitation Drawing, and kenjutsu.
No feats, and speculation. Aside from the Kenjutsu, and the beast imitation drawing which he sucked at, Gaiden Chapter for reference.

Shinki: Iron sand and puppet mastery.
Shinki's good, but he's feats are lackluster.

And they likely all possess near the same prowess of using shuriken/kunai, substitution clones, and other basic combat essentials.
For now everyone is around the same level bar Boruto/Sarada who were stated to be Elite Genin.

It's clear as day to me that Boruto is on par with, if not inferior, to Sarada and Mitsuki. Being that this is Naruto and not DBZ, I place my faith in intelligence rather than a flashy arsenal. By feats that's not happening right now, he's over them currently. Mitsuki literally has no feats, and Sarada's feats aren't enough to defeat him.

She tried out being the main character of Gaiden. I think she was easily overshadowed by Naruto and Sasuke. I would not want a main character like Sakura.

Anyone would be overshadowed by Naruto and Sasuke. Sarada would make a great MC

Not Boruto.

The Gaiden was based on her perspective. She was basically the main character of Gaiden. Naruto and Sasuke were just the plot device. It was Sarada's mommy/daddy issues that were the main plot of Gaiden. What we saw is how she finally understood the meaning of her parents relationship. So yes we did see something about her.

Boruto's final battle with Momoshiki was lackluster, compared to Naruto and Sasuke's tag-team.

That doesn't mean he was overshadowed through out the movie. What you are comparing is power. Its obvious Boruto does not have it. He is well equipped to take both of there place if given a new series around him.

Yeah but I don't want all this spotlight on him.

It would be fitting for his end goal for him to be in the dark

I don't mean he has all the spotlight. I mean he is the only legitment new gen character who can easily take Naruto's and Sasuke's spot without making it boring.
