They're gonna probably replace sasuke with another character the beginning of the next episode. Probably kakashi, obito, or sakura.
They also said the projects for 2016 will be about the itachi arc and the kaguya arc.
Canon is coming pretty soon i guess
Edit; opening 19 probably won't have nardo vs sasky

After literally a year (minus ~8 weeks) of terrible fillers, does anyone even follow the anime anymore?

It's not even like the canon episodes are good quality. SP has made Naruto the worst animated series I've ever seen.

I hated the manga for OP too, so I never really saw a difference, and I haven't watched DBS, but I heard mixed reviews about the anime quality.

Although, the Kakashi vs. Obito fight scene everyone shits themselves over in the anime was garbage too, but people can't seem to see that.

Well, you are right in a way but Toei at least has Digimon Tri. The first movie had beautiful quality and the other 5 will have too. That's some nice apology.
