It's quite a bit to digest, but if you've got the patience to read it, I would appreciate that. Plus I've coloured it, why wouldn't you read text that has been coloured ?
I have a theory on how tobi will be revealed.
I sent this as a message to my friend this morning before the chapter was released, and some of it is already relevant so I thought I would post it.
"Now these are the possibilities Tobi is gonna be revealed:
1) Naruto actually pulls Tobi's mask off, possibly after knocking the shit out of him.
2) He pulls it off himself.
3) The people Sasuke goes to visit (possibly/most likely the 2 village elders) reveals it to him, simultaneously as his face appears while fighting naruto.
4) Orochimaru tells Sasuke, in the same way as 3)
5) Madara goes to the battlefield and reveals who it is
And we WILL find out who tobi is DEFINITELY in the next month, or a week or 2.
Oh and btw, the only reason Kakashi and Guy are there is because when they see the face they WILL know who Tobi is. If it was just naruto and bee, they would see the face not know who it is and it wouldn't have much impact.
Oh and just to prove Kakashi and Guy were there for that reason, they haven't CONTRIBUTED to the fight AT ALL. "
We've already seen now that Tobi knows both Gai and Kakashi and that atleast Kakashi should definitely know who Tobi.
(The information that Guy forgets the name and image of people is information he could have got from Kisame)
The tone at of which Tobi talks to Kakashi, makes it sound most likely that tobi is definitely his elder. I beg you please don't use that "O" word.
Obito from a very long time has been implied not to be Tobi. Ever so much in today's chapter, the VERY fact that Kishi is trying to make you THINK it is him, means it DEFINITELY is not him.
Anybody who knows about writing and having a suprise element would not make obvious what it is. I know it's Kishimoto, but come on guys!!
If I were to guess I would say that Kagami Uchiha is Tobi. I've thought also why it would be somebody who isn't that relevant to the story.
Until today's chapter came the conclusion that Kagami could be Obito's father or directly related. It would be the ONLY reason Kakashi would know who this Uchiha is, being the father of his friends. It would explain why his space time techniques are similar to Obito's sharingan and why when Kakashi tried to use Kamui against him, he told him not to bother. It would make him directly in the loop of people who knew about the Uchiha's Massacre.
His age matches the criteria, being the same age as the village elders. In the Naruto Wikia he is "ASSUMED" to be dead either before or during the Uchiha clan massacre. There was never a confirmation in the manga. He may have suffered in the war and so used the zetsu parts to make up for body pieces lost.
As for motive, being the student of the 2nd Hokage he could see first hand the distrust and disrespect the senju had for the Uchiha. The relationship between Kagami and 2nd Hokage has never been shown, so it is a guess.
The idea also came as how he would have got in contact with Orochimaru, if Danzo was also able, without each other knowing, and probably he was in ANBU.
The other the thought I had was who could Madara trust to continue his plans. A lot of people were for that reason saying that Izuna could be Tobi for that reason (and others), but what if Kagami actually was the Son of Madara.
It has to be somebody related to Madara, or somebody who Madara could COMPLETELY trust, to give off his rinnengan, and his war fan (possibly a treasure of SOSP) and hope to be revived. If Kagami was indoctrinated and infact carrying Madara's will, it could explain why he's acted in the same way as if he was his father
But tbh Madara -> Kagami -> Obito family tree is hard to fathom.
Anyways these are my theories/thoughts. Let me know if you agree, or can if you can find some holes to pick in it, I'll look harder to strengthen my theory if it is possible. Thanks[/SPOILER]
He is probably heading to Konoha. Hence why oro said "A Place you know well" ...since Sasuke grew up there.
Let me also add the fact Obito was basically no one when he died. He seems to know Kakashi and Gai very well AND he hinted that they have seen his face already but Gai wouldn't remember it. The tough life comment about Kakashi could be about his father and the death of everyone close to him. Only Obito would make such comments. Tobi is someone who both Gai and Kakashi knew in the past.
I wasn't saying that Sasuke was heading to the battlefield. I was saying as one of the circumstances that Tobi's identity is revealed could be in the presence of these 2 people simulataneously, as he is revealed as Naruto and him are fighting.
