Honestly I would consider most of you guys that consider yourself "old generation" to be newer generation. I was on my second account when the forum changed over and I switched to Tsukoshi to be a medical ninja since everyone during that time kept talking about how medical shinobi made for crappy ninja. The agreement was at that time if you were a medical ninja then you couldn't have any kekkei genkai or any other special talents, you had to be full medical... I think that is a good way to identify whose "new generation". The new generation was all about trying to merge the various techniques so they could god-mode in battles.
