Okay, It Was Always Blatantly Obvious Tobi Was Obito

(1) Kishi sets up an entire 5 chapters after Part 1 dedicated to this new "Team 7" if you will, with absolutely no explanation to why. Obito is obviously supposed to be a major character, and yet had next to no role in Part 2 until he was revealed. This was one of many things that gave it away. Why introduce an obviously important character? with seemingly no warning, and never mention him again? It was just classic writing. If you introduce a gun in the First Act, it must be used by the Final Act.

(2) Kamui was a dead give away as well. Both had spirally/distortion effects, each eye is on an opposite side of the face, and they just so happen to be shared by Kakashi and Obito. Yeah.

(3) Minato's rasengan that decimated Obito made his right half fall off, that was a giveaway.

(4) This is kind of a lame reason, but it works; the hairstyle of Tobi and Obito.


Any theories that were made that didn't fall in line with this were just wishful thinking. We WANTED it to not be someone so obvious.

Then again, hindsight is 20/20.
