I kinda didn't want it to be obito because of the impression he left when he died

It was him or madara. I have a friend that reads naruto. In early shippuden, he used to think that tobi was obito, and I used to think he was madara. When he said he was madara and started to act like him, I was like "hell yeah, told you". Then, when madara showed up, I knew it was obito, couldnt think of anyone else. Then, my friend said " haha, told ya" when obito was revelead, we read that chapter together, I was in his house studying. It made the moment eveb funnier

With the clues you mentioned, I knew it was him from the Kakashi Gaiden Flashbacks. As the kakashi and rin was escaping from the cave in, obito was still talking wishing he had more time. Leaving the door open for him to still be alive.
