Fast, curved trajectory. Not as heavy (thus carrying less force) as a kunai but is easier to throw due to less weight. Can throw multiple at once (in the Narutoverse anyway lol)

I remember this guy spat out his senbon so fast it deflected a kunai, which is much more badass.

OT: The only time I remember a kunai/shuriken doing something was when Sasuke hit Danzo with like 3 or something and he had to use an izanagi which makes him pretty pathetic in my book.
