[Discussion] Oda Eiichiro vs Yoshiro Tagashi

Oda simply cause he is doing it consistently nonstop.

Togashi is up there but he hasn't shown he can keep his work top tier on the level Oda has for that long. If Togashi was constantly pumping chapters out and his quality didn't drop (Like Oda) then this would be a tougher decision.

-Creativity = Oda (pretty easily, he managed to make a guy who walks around in a pink fur coat badass)
-World Building = Oda (close but Oda does it best)
-Characterdevelopment = Togashi (Oda's main cast is fairly stagnant in comparison to Togashi's)
-Themes and symbolism = Oda (Too many to count, too many references)
-Complexity = Togashi (Most complex characters in Shonen, example - Meruem, Sensui etc.)
-Suspense and mystery = Togashi (Mystery department is close probably Oda, but HxH definitely has more suspense due to people actually dying)
-Plot and purpose of stories = Oda
-Coherency and cohesion = Oda (Everything is planned out from start to finish, planning is on another level from Oda)
-Logicality (no asspulls, dues ex machines, plot holes etc.) = Togashi (too much deus ex in One Piece)
- Consistency = Oda (Togashi hasn't been doing it for as long as Oda, he keeps stopping)

Oda wins and OP is the better series. Its not by a huge margin, quite small actually thanks to HxH/YYH.

It simply isn't a competition. One Piece is becoming more and more like DBZ - the same old formula rehashed again and again (e.g. the Drossrosa arc was literally Alabasta 2.0). On the other hand, it looks like Tagashi is going to die of old age long before he completes HxH so OP wins the long-run battle by default.

Goda is a genius.

I mean fans even gave him that nickname how good he is.He connects things masterpiecefully and makes story so much interesting.Especially now with Sanji.

One Piece, HxH is overrated to me. Only thing it does better in is the fighting system's complexity. That does not include the variety or originality.
