So we've all heard the akainu and one piece in under a year and main character blah blah

But with the vivre cards he just released he states akainus df boasts the highest offensive power of all devil druits.

Oda loves akainu lol how do you guys feel about this? Of course I'm happy I'm an akainu fanboy lmao

It does say it doesn't specify if it's the highest offensive power just it's on the highest tier which makes more sense because I don't see how it would have more offensive power than WBs.

He wasnt as strong as whitebeard yet his lavafist cancelled out whitebeards gura punch. If the devil druits were the same offensively than I see no reason why whitebeard wouldn't have just blown akainus magma fist away since he was stronger
Post automatically merged:

Shouldnt Enel has the strongest offensive power? Lightning>Magma
Well no. In real life fire is > magma as well. Not in one piece though

OK this actually cleared one thing that Akainu had flight ability.
And when WB destroyed the plaza he slid down with that rubble. Which means he needed time to recover:sneaky:

That first image only showed the hit kata took from Luffy. He wasn't pinned down n started sliding with the rubble
The parts where Katakuri is flying through the air and hunched over to catch his breath is recovery time, the same way Akainu falling into that crevice was recovery time. But you're not gonna link those panels of Katakuri in recovery time and imply that that proves Luffy was way stronger than him during that fight, are you?

They are not the same.
Katakuri was pushed back due to the blunt force of Luffy's attack. You can clearly see he was standing even when he was coughing blood.
On the other hand Akainu was pinned down by WB and then tossed in air before he went directly to the abyss. The attack ended with the destruction of the plaza and Akainu who has flight ability never even tried to take Aerial route. He simply slid down with the rubble. This itself explains he wasn't in good shape and rather needed recovery time to finish what he started.

Not to forget the guy who has flight ability found easy making a cave rather than simply flying towards the sky
Same difference. You can try to frame it that being stunned while standing and while on the ground are two different things, they're not. At the end of the day, Katakuri was stunned and needed a moment to recover, just like Akainu did. The idea that someone taking a hit that stuns them for a moment means they're on a lower level than the person that hit them is dumb af.

@bolded: That never happened.

@underlined: Because Akainu's goal was executing Luffy. He didn't give a shit about WB's life, and was chasing down Luffy because, as he made clear multiple times during the war, them having Dragon's and Roger's blood made them a threat in his eyes that he absolutely needed to eliminate and no one else was taking that task themselves.

Every time he tried to pursue Luffy, people interfered to protect him. Something he complained about multiple times while chasing Luffy. That's why he tunneled underground instead of flying into the air. No one would be able to intercept him as he traveled underground to Luffy like they were constantly doing while he was traveling above-ground.

Firstly Akainu didnt took a second. It took him almost an hour something to return.
Not to forget a stunned guy(who is presumably alright but didnt stand even tho he was cursing WB tells a different story).he rather let himself slid down when other marines tried to save themselves from falling also tells that he wasn't in the shape to stand up.

His goal was only to execute Ace. He didn't want luffy to escape MF.
Lets also not forget that He went after Luffy when the MF arc was about to end. Before that he was fighting WB. So its rather funny to say that he didn't want to finish WB because he finds a half dead guy more interesting than a Yonko who declared war just to rescue one of his men.

He was underground for a single chapter...during which the only thing that happened was BB and WB fighting for a few minutes. He returned after a few minutes because he was tunneling through the ground to get to Luffy.

I assume you meant to link the fight between WB and Akainu. That shit was filler. None of that happened in the manga.

His goal was only to execute Ace. He didn't want luffy to escape MF.
Which he was going to accomplish by executing Luffy...

Lets also not forget that He went after Luffy when the MF arc was about to end. Before that he was fighting WB.
Before that, he only attacked WB when WB was getting to the plaza. His focus was on Luffy and Ace.

So its rather funny to say that he didn't want to finish WB because he finds a half dead guy more interesting than a Yonko who declared war just to rescue one of his men.
He was more focused on killing Luffy because Luffy was Dragon's son, the current worst criminal in the world. It's the same reason he wanted Ace dead: he has the blood of the former worst criminal in the world.

He wasn't focused on killing WB because:

1. WB was an old man who was just going off of the fumes of a bygone era. Akainu himself noted that WB doesn't really do shit but float by the power and reputation of his name without actually causing much trouble, which directly contrasts to the son of the worst criminal in the world who keeps causing one chaotic incident after the other.

2. Killing an Emperor isn't as simple as being able to, as the Balance of the Three Powers and the power vacuum that would result from killing an Emperor.

Throughout the world, Akainu explicitly notes several times his intentions to make sure Ace and Luffy die, yet never expresses that intention for WB and only fights him when WB gets close to the plaza and again when WB went out of his way to attack him
