Kenjutsu is all about skill with using swords and blades alike, with diverse techniques, they can be as simple as a single slash or using chakra to produce different effects.

Well, Kenjutsu is a style which revolves around the cutting techniques, flow of chakra into swords or other weapons although chakra might be added. Its style is most adopted by samurais from the land of iron as they have no ninjutsu. Ninjas also can be proficient with this style, though the more stronger kenjutsu users are seen to originate from Kirigakure or Kumogakure as they have their own unique techniques. The strongest ninjas of this style includes the 7 swordmen: Kisame, Jinpachi, Akebino, Chojuro, Raiga, Zabuza, others are Bee , Hayate.

1 handed slash: Quicker, more flexibility with arms to perform slashes from diverse angles.

2 handed slash: More powerful, but it has less flexibility to perform Horizontal slashes, thats why its usually performed Vertically.

---

Horizontal: Commonly perform by swinging either left or right. Less flexibility when performing 2 handed.

Vertical: Mostly performed from up to down, rarely the other way around. Ideal for 2 handed slashes. Because the user lifts the sword overhead for vertical slashes, its easier to leave an opening.

---

Blocking: Better defensive action against heavier strikes. More reliable than parrying.

Parry: Better defensive action for against fast, light strikes. While harder to perform than blocking, parrying can give an opening for the user to perform a riposte.

O^O

I take the bokken 2 handed and slash the dummy twice horizontally from left and right sides, then a downward slash vertically. I repeat it once again with holding 1 handed.

I sigh, doing tiny pokes before I thrust the sword straight into the gut of the dummy

I hope you're gonna start teaching me some techniques now ">.>

I do a twirl of left and right slashes with one handed, before doing the final blow downward slash with 2 handed, destroying the dummy.
