To be perfectly honest, I fail to see what is even wrong with Obito's motivation.

- Boy watches loved one die
- Boy grows sick of world and wishes he could save loved one from dying
- Boy is shown a perfect way to save loved one from dying
- Boy attempts to save loved one from dying and fix world

Can you blame Obito? I refuse to believe you, Naruto, Sasuke, Kakashi or even Sakura wouldn't do the same thing in his position. Body crushed, rescued from death, polluted by an evil old man and watching your loved one die in front of you?

These order of events could happen to anyone in the series and if you say you're above it that is ridiculous and you are lying because Obito was the most respectable and positive ninja before his death. Just because Rin happens to be a little girl and Obito's motivation people accuse him of 'not getting over a childhood crush' or 'lololfriendzoned' if you're not as smart when really, there is nothing wrong with Obito's motivation. It's simple and achievable. And there's no reason Obito shouldn't try to follow out the Moon Eye Plan.

Good points. I have always thought saying he was friendzoned was just silly.

Nice job. :win:

Except that the Eye of the Moon Plan doesn't really bring her back to life, it just creates an illusion of her.

I can understand wanting to bring dead loved ones back to life but creating illusions of them is just sick.

Naruto would understand when Sakura or Hinata die. Only way Obito would get Naruto to understand what he is trying to accomplish with Moon Eye Plan. However, Naruto would not admit and preach about how "this" reality is perfect the way it is.

Only haters and idiots make such accusations, since it's obvious his motivations are not solely for Rin.

Rin wasn't just Obito's crush, she was his best friend. She and Minato were the only ones that spurred on Obito's dream of becoming hokage.

Yeah, I find it pathetic how Kishi tried to make Neji's death to Naruto akin to Rin's death to Obito. It just doesn't work. Gaara, Sakura, Sasuke, Hinata, Kakashi, and even Bee would have been a better choice for this parallel/similarity

Obito can be with Rin again.

Naruto can be with Sasuke, his master and his dead parents again. Team 7 is together again.

Sasuke's clan are alive and well, he got to play with his brother and his father shows he is proud of him.

Kakashi can finally be back with everyone in his life he lost.

There are no more wars and everyone gets paradise, even if it may not be real- it is clearly better than this bastardised, war-torn ninja world where little girls can be murdered, clans wiped out and nation-wide wars take place.

Naruto would not admit and preach about how "this" reality is perfect the way it is.

but only because of main character in an anime syndrome. Naruto can try telling that to his dead parents, master and the remains of Konoha.

No, none of that is true, Naruto is with illusions of Sasuke.

That's like living in a box with cardboard cutouts and pretending they are real.

The illusions are nothing more then pictures and toys to play with.

The Eye of the Moon Plan is basically the equivalent of a kid wanting to run away to Disney Land.

Edit: FYI his parents and teacher are all against it as well, so he can say it to them all right, they will completely agree with him.

Kind of this^

He should listen to Kakashi a little and then choose a different way. Creating illusions isn't gonna satisfy anyone apart from himself probably. In my opinion, he should just work towards something similar to his old goal of becoming Hokage but this time a Kage(could be a leader of any land). He should just revive Rin with the Rinnegan, you know with the other Rinnegan eye. Maybe another Zetsu has it and Obito might control him the same way as Madara did so that he can revive Rin.

Exactly, imagine if kid Naruto had Iruka and Sakura taken away from him. Even he couldn't have suppressed the ninetails any longer. Obito mirrors Naruto almost entirely, which means the parallel is hinting that if even Naruto (beacon of positivity and happiness) had undergone these events he would turn out the same way.

That doesn't even make sense, they all agree with Naruto, they charged him with stopping the Eye of the Moon Plan.

So he can tell them that all right, they will agree with him.

So? They don't know any better- for all they know they are in the real world. And they have everything they want. Everybody wins.

Hmmmm... running away to Disney Land < Potentially saving the entire world from war...bit different.

Yes but as I stated, none of them went through what Obito did. So of course they can't see why it makes sense.

He is an adult male that wants to create a genjutsu world, bring back his 13 year old crush and god knows what he is planning to do with her....

Yeah, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Obito ;)

So you wouldn't know something was off if a dead loved one showed up at your door, this isn't inception, if they are under the Infinite Tsukuyomi they will know it.

Oh, none of them went through what Obito did, so despite Jiraya fighting through TWO World Wars and being betrayed by his best friend as well as two of his students,

and then there is Kushina who's entire village was destroyed,

and then there is Minato who had to watch his wife die and condemn his son to a life of suffering and they don't understand.

Oh and of course Kakashi who had to kill a close friend and his father committed suicide, but he doesn't understand Obito.

You will excuse me if I doubt that.

Edit: Let Me add more who are also fighting against it.

Sasuke: Lost his entire Family, killed his own brother.

Naruto: Lived a life of loneliness, lost his teacher and recently his friend Neji.

Tsunade: Lost her younger brother and her boyfriend in war.

Hashirama: Lost his younger brother and had to apparently kill his best friend.

But none of them understand the pain of losing a childhood crush which is apparently greater then losing your entire family or wife or being betrayed by your friends or students.

See this is what I was saying, you're just comparing Obito to other characters but it's not how it works.

Jiraiya and Kushina didn't specifically watch their loved one die in front of them and then immediately offered a solution to solve that problem. They didn't undergo exactly what Obito did so any other sad backstory is irrelevant because it doesn't end up in a mindset like Obito's.

Nobody was more positive and has as much childhood innocence as Obito and Naruto. If even kid Obito was turned then there is nobody who wouldn't. It comes down to the:

- Boy watches loved one die
- Boy grows sick of world and wishes he could save loved one from dying
- Boy is shown a perfect way to save loved one from dying
- Boy attempts to save loved one from dying and fix world

It all comes down to this at the very core of Obito's story. Can you honestly say you wouldn't fix such a huge, emotional and fundamental problem as a loved one dying when it's so simply and foolproofly laid out in front of you?

Doesn't matter.

Sasuke wasn't offered a perfect and simple way to be with his clan again. Obito was. Sasuke would've done the same as Obito in his situation to be with his clan again.
