Obito's entire character has been built up around what happened in Kakashi Gaiden. He was a good guy, like Naruto, that had unfair tragedies happen in his life. He died heroically, to save his friends and even in death only wanted for them to go on living happily. We as fans might not understand Obito, but let's review the facts:

-He wanted to become Hokage and impress this chick. She died and he failed to save her in time.
-He got smashed by boulders and lost an eye to save his best friend
-He had to watch said best friend kill the girl he loved
-He had no parents, apparently. Or at least they were estranged.
-He was found half-dead by Madara and had his genetics altered with weirdo Zetsu stuff and Hashi cells
-He was mindwashed for at least a few years by Madara, and deprived of any real social contact

Whether anyone on NB will admit it or not. These events would drive anyone insane. Obito is regretting his actions because deep down, he is still a good person. That said, Obito gave up on reality and on himself. He does not want to be anyone. He does not want to become anyone. All he cares about now, is bringing Rin back.

A grown man like Obito accepting Naruto's words just frankly makes no sense. They don't share a common teacher like Nagato and Naruto did. There is no book. There is nothing to suggest Obito should listen to Naruto, rather we've seen exactly the opposite.

Nagato was calm and collected, whereas Obito is rash and even immature sometimes. Nagato truly wanted peace, whereas Obito just wants to enslave the world in genjutsu and bring Rin back. Naruto cannot bring Rin back. He cannot convince Obito through cheap words.

Why? Because Obito's mentality is exactly as Naruto's. He would never give up on his dream. And what is his dream? To bring peace to the world, by forcing peace on the world. Whether the world wants it, or not. Ultimately, Naruto the character is unaware of the village's inconsistencies. Sasuke represents this plot hook, that Sasuke has seen the dark side of the village.

Naruto needs to be aware of that dark, inconsistent side of the village of Konoha if he is to become Hokage. As Naruto is now, he has the power to be a Hokage, but he lacks the wisdom and knowledge. Even Shikamaru lacks the knowledge of just how absolutely evil the Konoha elders were to Itachi, Kabuto, Orochimaru and the rest.

Obito is well aware of these inconsistencies in Konoha's past and he will NOT forgive them easily. He will refuse Naruto's offer. Konan, Nagato and others warned Naruto that he would not change the man behind the mask. The simple fact is that Obito represents the side of Naruto that wasn't able to deal with reality.

So basically, I predict Obito will be killed before he accepts or rejects Naruto's offer. Probably by Madara, but possibly by Sasuke. In the end, I think we all know on NB that Sasuke has an ulterior motive in helping Naruto right now.

He's said he will become Hokage, end the corrupt system and kill all the bijuus. Do we really think he's 100% happy with Naruto just because Hashirama laid down some history lessons? LOL, as if.

You are right, it makes no sense. However despite what you said about Nagato, I think it didn't make sense for him either. That being said, I don't expect Kishimoto to have the manga make sense.

Consider this as well, Kishimoto doesn't like doing what we expect. Most of NB expects Obito to get TnJ'd. Also, he's already done this thing with Nagato. Having Obito Rinne Tensei and bring everyone back cheapens Neiji's sacrifice. And it's already been done by Nagato. Plus that would leave no 10 tails. This thing's far from over, since we still have to see Madara's trump card and Sasuke's plan, as well as whatever the hell Oro is up to.

I think the Juubi chakra will be extracted from Obito and probably end up with Sasuke or Madara instead.

Well I thought it wouldnt make sense for Zabuza "the supposed emotionless killing machine" to be TNJ's by Naruto but look what happened, He was TNJ's and got died an epic dogs death >:c So just because you have logic, logic doesnt always apply in Naruto, Kishimoto will do what Kishimoto wants to do

There's like 1% chance of Obito saying no . I just hope Madara kills him before saying yes or trying to save the world .

I think it will do the series great justice if he reject Naruto's words of wisdom. Kishi can't have two main baddies just get TNJ'D like that it's too unrealistic. If Kishi keeps Obito bad the series will still be epic as it's always been, but if Obito gets TNJ'D I'll be let down. That being said Naruto's words of wisdom are a lot more well though than with what he said to Nagato. The using what would Rin have you do against him was great. This is where Naruto shows that intelligent side we all know that's deep down inside him. That being said it would have been better if Naruto would have had to kill Nagato, and Konan, then have TNJ'D Obito. That would have made a lot more sense in my opinion. Seeing how his dialogue with Obito is so much more complex.

The whole manga's philosophy and idea is -based- on Naruto's TNJ. It was never about villains and heroes, nor about what is bad or what is good. Its about Kishi showing us that Naruto's paradigm is better in his opinion than any other, every of which also has it's reasoning, advantages and disadvantages. Those who keep telling things like "villains must stay villains and we must see 100500 chapters of cool pew pew" just immature and dont understand what is this manga about.

First of all, age does not matter in the Narutoverse. Quite honestly, Obito never really grew up if you ask me. He's shown no signs of maturity ever since his flashbacks.

That being said, I don't think he'll accept Naruto's words at first. He'll probably get a Rin flashback then start b*tching like usual. But eventually he'll join Naruto, but it'll be too late.

Obito doesn't want to just bring rin back he wants peace
And it would make sense if he does join naruto because they do have a lot in common
He already had thoughts that instead of doing the infinite tsukuyomi he should have had his friends "fill the whole in his heart"

Yeah let the Jews forgive hitler and the cycle of hatred would be ended that way. naruto's reasoning has more disadvantages than advantages and his solution is very temporary. But it's a manga so...

Zabuza was a grown man yet he was TNJ, as was the Raikage, Tsunade was an adult yet Naruto TNJ her, and there are various other examples, Obito will be TNJ, its just a matter of how many chapters.

You should say it to the writer, not me :) It's his ideas, not mine.
