Love changes people. Rin loved Kakashi and I gues for Obito that was the catalyst for hes hatred and if this Tobi indeed is Obito I think hes hate towards Leaf and people who betrayed him. Like Kakashi failed in protecting Rin, woman Obito loved.

On Narutos part its not yet happend. But I would pretty much asume Naruto would have given into hatred if Sakura died by Sasuke back when he had hes evil self within him.
