Well think about it Ebisu is around the same age as Kakashi, meaning Obito would've been around his age at the time of Obito's death. If we're going by databook standards Ebisu didn't become a chuunin until he was 17. Obito was a chuunin by time he was 11.
Now Ebisu is about 2 years older then Kakashi (just looked) so Ebisu would've been 13 when Obito became a chuunin, meaning he's still a chuunin. Obito died shortly after activating his Sharingan, and we saw that he was on the road to getting a real feel for his eyes and becoming a stronger shinobi, and maybe stand up to par to his teammate Kakashi, had he lived.
Obito would've been 30 at this point so we don't know where he would be in terms of rank, or how well his Sharingan developed, however considering that he's an Uchiha he probably would have a fully developed Sharingan by that point in time. Ebisu is only a Tokubetsu (special) Jounin at this point in time now. If you think logically about this, going by the databooks as you would like, Obito would be more skilled then Ebisu when they were kids, even if Ebisu was a little older (based on rank, and I'm only going by the databook standards since that's what the thread maker is emphisising more). However if they were older we wouldn't know because Obito is dead now and we haven't seen how far his ninjutsu came after activating his sharingan, however it seems that the way he was changing Obito would be favored to win.
For the record you compared 13 year old Obito's data to 32 year old Ebisu's data, where in actuallity you should've posted 15 year old Ebisu's data on there (which we wouldn't know), and not that he was still a genin while Obito was a chuunin, a pretty big whole there.
