I’ve always wanted to do this thread but never had the time so here it is.
A complete Obito analysis from what have seen so far, enjoy
Doujutsu
Obito Doujutsu is where his real strength lies as with all Uchiha’s. He only has half of his true abilities due to his past personality when he was young and gave his left Sharingan to Kakashi to allow him to become stronger and protect the ones close to him. This being said even with just his right Sharingan he still is one of the strongest Uchiha we have seen when using his Sharingan. Let’s get into his abilities.
3T Sharingan:
Many people forget this but Tobi still has regular 3T sharingan abilities this means he can see the basic flow of chakra in a person. With his sharingan he can read the movements of his opponent as his perception skills are enhanced.
As we all know just because you can see something coming doesn’t mean you can automatically be able to react to it in time. Why this helps Tobi is when he combines with his MS ability Kamui (Which will be discussed later) he is easily able to avoid incoming attacks without even having to move.
Mangekyou Sharingan:
Genjutsu:
It hasn’t been stated anywhere if Obito has a MS Genjutsu like KA or Tsukuyomi but Obito is very skilled in Genjutsu’s.
At the age of 14 he was able to place the Kyuubi under a genjutsu to follow his orders using his MS.
(No doubt Uchiha Madara taught he how to do this after his year spent training with him as he was the only one who knew how to control the Kyuubi which is why people believed him to be Uchiha Madara)
According to our knowledge Obito was able to place the 4th Mizukage under a Genjutsu and control him with a genjutsu and control for many years at the age of 15. (He told Minato there are many other ways to accomplish his goals, the hidden mist village was most likely his next target. Also according to Kakashi, Zabuza killed his classmates 11 years before the start of the series in chapter 14, this is a year after Obito battled Minato)
After he captured Danzo’s right hand men he placed then under a genjutsu until he brought them in front of kabuto to show him how to stop edo tensei.
He used some sort of genjutsu on konan to make her reveal the position of nagato’s corpse.
He offered to use a genjutsu to make yamato reveal information about the alliance.
Kamui:
Kamui is the Ace of Obito and is his main MS ability. Kamui allows Obito to teleport himself and anything in contact with him into his pocket dimension.
This pocket dimension seems to be massive and gives him the ability to store things in it such as people and items and release them at will. This means he can prepare himself with weapons and other battle objects to use in battle.
This dimension seems to be parallel with the real world which means if he moves in that dimension he has also moved in the real would allowing him to basically teleport from one place to another in the real world which can be a big advantage in the real world as he will be avoid all incoming attacks in the real world.
As well as this Obito is so skilled with his Kamui that he can place certain parts of his body in the other dimension without teleporting his whole body which would normally take him a couple seconds if he were to do his whole body. He can do this instantly which means even though he had to remain in same place as he moves from the real world he can still avoid all incoming attacks. And he can do this for a good 5 minutes before he will have to remain in the real world unless he teleports away from the fight completely.
Rinnegan:
Obito has shown little use of the Rinnegan and that is mainly because most of his opponents so far have trained to fight against the Rinnegan and know how to counter it and also controlling the Gedo Mazo and jinjurik’s and using all his abilities at one time is very difficult.
But as Obito possess madara’s Rinnegan he has established a link with the gedo mazo and can summon him at will:
He has also is able to use bodies to share out his six paths and control them just as nagato was:
If it is true that he has all the abilities of the Rinnegan then he possesses all of these abilities on some level, how powerful that level can not be confirmed:
Ninjutsu
Will still can’t confirm the amout of Ninjutsu Obito has as he still pulls something new under his sleeve depending on the situation.
Fire style
Obito is very skilled at fire style jutsu’s he was seemingly able to use it since he was about 6 as show in his chunin exams. But by 13 he was able to do normal fire style techs on a high level and perform them very fast as seen when he was able to protect kakashi and rin from a trap from above.
(He probably improved on them with his training with madara and in later years)
He had to restrain from using fire style as he had to wear a mask to hide his identity to went along with who people mistook him for Uchiha Madara and continued to use that name, maybe because he was carrying out his will so he was like a second Madara.
He is able to combine his great fire style tech’s with his Kamui warping ability to create a vortex of massive flames.
Taijutsu:
After years of training and then with the activation of his sharingan Obito showed great taijutsu skills that seemed to be on par with Kakashi when going up against a skillful hidden stone shinobi.
Possibly due to the high amount of damage his body received after saving kakashi from a falling boulder he has not shown any fast and skillfull taijutsu from after this fight. But with senju dna enhancements he has been able to combine simple physical attacks with his Kamui and allow people to phase through him and deliver a powerful blow to them.
Some examples:
Weird but he is very skilled in using his legs he was able to prevent the hidden stone shinobi from stabbing kakashi with just his legs and another example is him redirecting a kunai he allowed to phase through him to Naruto. Strange skill in which obito has and using to his advantage to take his opponents by surprise and normally is very affected.
Knowledge:
Obito knows everything Madara knows, well all of what Madara wanted him to know. That means he would have vast knowledge of the history of the uchiha, the senju, the village, so6p’s his sons basically anything Madara learned in his long life time that he wanted to share with Obito.
He was with Madara for about a year imagine sitting down somewhere for a whole year with nothing else to do but train and rest. Plus he has read the stone tablets left by the sage and he has been behind the scenes in the naruto series since he was born till know from being a young boy who didn’t know anything he has become one of the most knowledgeable characters in this whole series.
