Battles are not just about what techniques you can use. This is shown in ALL of Itachi fights and even in some other fights where intellect was the outcome. Genjutsu is the strongest form of jutsu in the series. Nothing suggest Obito is immune to it and adding in intellect we can conclude that Obito respected/feared Itachi smarts/genjutsu usage

Gimme a break they both exterminated the uchiha clan together. If anything they both feared and respected eachother too a degree. Don't sit here n say obito was scared od itachi. Itachi was also scared of obito posing as madara aswell. Regardless everything in itachis arsenal was still not enough too beat obito anyway.

If she had a counter for inzangi, he would of used more Inyouton or rikudou Justus.
He even had mokuton, and didn't bother to use it.
He just underestimated his pawn, itachi differs in a way because he knew itachi was a spy.
Agreed of course, that's why I posted that with his intellect or visual prowess he can easily kill the top3 with
the tools necessary.
I wish a specific group of fanboys would see it that way...

I believe he feared him because of the intel he had. He had to be cautious of Itachi incase he tried to set up some trap to kill Obito. Although like he said, Itachi ended up failing because he lacked intel. If he would've known Amaterasu would've been useless then he would've probably set up a better trap.
Kind of like Konan. She found out the secret behind his Kamui and set up a trap and actually forced him to use Izanagi.

I believe Obito let itachi live because he wanted itachi to give sasuke the EMS. Remember obito was aware of itachi and what his plans were.
Obito could of easily killed itachi if he wanted to.

Well yeah pretty much.
Although it's possible to fear someone or be cautious of them especially because you have to keep them alive while at any moment, they might try to place traps for you to have you killed or leak information about Akatsuki.

A we seen it was obito who made sasuke awaken MS. Obito was aware of all there is to itachi and had no need to fight him.
EMS sasuke as ally was a reward for not fighting itachi.

Nah you thinking too much. Sasuke was never ally with Obito. Just look now whos fighting with who on the battlefield.
yes sasuke was never an ally of obito but Thats the reason why Obito kept itachi alive. Obito knew about itachi and his plan with sasuke so he let itachi carry it out so obito can tell sasuke the truth later on and have him as an ally. Sasuke would have the EMS and then later on awaken the rinnegan, Thats more than obito would ask for.
If obito wanted itachi dead, he would of
-killed him himself. Obito didn't even fear Minato at the age of 14. why would he fear itachi.
-He could have the akatsuki kill him with ease.
But why didn't he? Well Plot for sure since itachi needed to fight sasuke and the fact that Obito wanted sasuke on his side.
Kyuubi needed to be hunted last so there was no reason to attack the village and making a deal with itachi would be good for obito since he could use itachi further doing other jobs for him.

First i dont even think he could make Akatsuki to kill Itachi. You just have to look into personalities of each member. They all had goals on their own. Even Pein betrayed him in the end. Only member i could think of who could help Obito is Kisame. But then again Kisame respected Itachi as well. The quustion would be which he respected more?And i just have to choose Itachis direction cuz they are partners........
Obito acted as Madara in front of Itachi cuz he wouldnt try to make a move and that was the only defense Obito had.
