Obito respected Itachi more than any other shinobi?

People will disagree but lets look at the facts:

1) Obito didn't care for Madara and turned on him
2) Obito didn't care for Minato and fought him
3) Obito didn't care for Kakashi and they were team-mates
4) Obito didn't care from Akatsuki and used them
5) Obito didn't care for Sasuke


Now if we look at the history between him and Itachi

Itachi was the only shinobi Obito truly was cautious of and respected enough to follow his wishes until after he died. I know people will say Obito was being nice but lets face it... he turned on Madara.

Your opinion.. but considering the two never clashed we can conclude that Obito was extremely cautious. Till this day I believe Genjutsu > Kamui due to the mechanics but who knows

he respected and feared him, obito did not follow itachis wishes after he died he went after sasuke as potential war power, and attacked the leaf, it didn't matter if he respected him if obito wants something he will go and get it he wanted to destroy the leaf but couldn't since he knew itachi would solo him I thought that was obviouse

obito was not afraid of him because Obito had 7 years before he met itachi to attack the village again but didn't.

Also the kyuubi needed to be hunted last which was the reason obito made a pact with itachi.

Obito would get itachi on his side and He would agree to not attack the leaf since he didn't need to yet.

that wasn't respect, i believe that he FEARED Itachi :yeah: it's the only explanation to why Obito didn't eliminate someone who could have exposed his identity/a risk.

Why would Obito take a risk that he shouldn't need to take? He respected Itachi immensely and was smart enough not to mess around with Itachi, but Obito would beat him in a one on one.

To me, it looks like he just used Itachi.

With all the Uchiha dead, Obito has a endless (not completely, though) supply of eyes.

Got Sasuke EMS so that he could get Rinnegan and cast Mugen Tsukiyomi.

He was only cautious with him because he could have thrown a monkey wrench into his plans, he turned on Maddy only after he already had the Juubi, Itachi could have prevented that or at the very least set him back a few years considering all his intel and potential damage he could have done should he turn on the akatsuki. But pay attention to Obito's reaction to Maddy BEFORE he has the juubi in his clutches.

This page right here tells you who Obito respects above all else, he only got uppity with Maddy when he felt safe. He even bowed down to Kabuto's demands once he caught a glimpse of the 6th coffin, and called Kabuto a madman. clearly he was on another level from Itachi in terms of respect. Obito would have fought or killed Itachi if he could have done so without jeopardizing his own plans.

If push comes to shove, he is both clans in one.

He can use other powerful techniques if he can't use kamui.

Konan's explosive tag abyss, showed that he has more than just kamui.

There is no reason for Obito to kill itachi. Obito knew itachi was a double agent but he still did work for the akatsuki. Obito knew itachi had a plan to awaken sasuke's EMS and he took advantage of that. he wanted Sasuke on his side specially with the EMS which could potentially awaken the rinnegan in order for obito to have another pawn.

Obito didn't attack the village because He had to hunt the kyuubi last and he had 7 years before he met itachi to attack the village all he wants but he didn't.

Obito could of easily got pain to kill itachi but he didn't because he didn't want itachi dead. If he wanted itachi dead, he would of killed him long ago.

He sort of feared Itachi. He said it in conversation with Zetsu, that now Itachi is dead, he can enter Konoha. That shows he feared him.
