Its not just about him having become the juubis jinchuriki. Hes the personification of the anti naruto, who had a simuilar personality growing up, thus he was the only o ne who could completely and utterly reject everything he stood for. Sasuke can never be the villain he can be, to defeat narutos ideology you have to be like him, yet reject his path. Sasuke is 180 degrees opposite in personality.
Theres not a very long time left for this show to end, and obito will be its final villain. This has been foreshadowed for a while now.
A person who refuses to forgive the world for the sh!t it did, not to him, but to those he cared about. Since he is emotionally detached and not personally involved(his parents didnt die nor did his brother die etc), his hatred is more complete and enduring.
He refuses to get tnjed by naruto, he wont listen to anything kakashi says either. Hes a unique villain: unlike all the others including oro and sasuke who knew deep down that what they were doing was wrong, this man truly believes what hes doing is right, is fair and is real justice. He isnt a pawn like nagato, he had no intention of reviving madara nor of doing things on anyones terms but his own.
Personality asides, these are the achievements of this great villain:
- annihilated an entire battalion of hidden mist anbu
- controlled the 9 tails and attacked konoha. Thus he was responsible for everything naruto would become
- joined itachi to annihilate the uchiha clan. Thus he was responsible for everything sasuke would become.
- controlled a perfect jinchuriki and enslaved an entire village.
- founded the akatsuki, thereby rocking the whole shinobi world.
- became the juubis jinchuriki, the closest person to the rikudo senin.
Before obito arrived, the 4 hokages nd co were going along just fine. Now everyones trying to run.
Uchiha obito was responsible for the destinies of the 2 most imp chars in this show, and currently holds the destiny of the whole shinobi world at bay as well.
