I see a lot of people talking about talk no jutsu and Obito, and a lot of the responders are saying it won't work because Obito just doesn't care about anything or anyone anymore. But, I think differently on that.
So, we know that, upon first meeting with Obito, Madara was already spewing his sermon about an imperfect world where peace isn't possible.
We also know that Obito, back then, wasn't buying it.
Likely, when Rin died, he reconsidered all that nonsense Madara was feeding him and bought in.
So, if you are someone that believes that the ultimate objective is to artificially create a world of love, no losers, no more deaths, and peace, then wouldn't any action you take in furthereance of that aim be justifiable as noble, despite the appearance?
For instance, he may have liked Konan quite a lot, but, if she was to stand in the way of the furtherance of the ultimate goal, then her life is justifiably forfeit, is it not?
Isn't it quite possible that Obito, despite his wicked deeds, could, in fact, be completely redeemable if he simply changes his perspective, much like Nagato did? In fact, I'd guess that Obito, even right now, believes he's helping the world.
