According to Tobiramas theory on how Uchiha get MS it shud be impossible for Kakashi to attain it... But then again Kishi does what he wants.

I mean, it's possible that that special chakra is retained in the eyes though technically, the optic nerve is connected to the brain, so the chakra within the eyes could've been distributed to the brain over time.

It would make sense, like all the chakra he needed for the eyes MS was already there prior to the transplant. If thats where your getting at..

Every Uchiha has ben shown with one eye being more dominant over a jutsu compared to the other. Itachi and Sasuke favored one eye for the black flames and the other for Susanoo. Kakashi eye came from Obito and they had each a variant of the same jutsu. Both Sharigan’s awaken the power when Obito saw Rin die,it took longer for Kakashi to learn to use it because Kakashi is not an Uchiha and dose not have the chakra reserves of an Uchiha.
