I dont think its a "wouldnt it be" I actually think this is almost assured to happen.
Obito had no intention of bringing back Madara. Kabuto voices his distrust in Obito and Obito says, "The rinne tensei was supposed to used for my benefit" to Zetsu.
Obito's trying to bring back Rin...thats all he cares about, not Madara.

That does not make sense. Madara was the one who an the whole moons eye to begin with. I don't see Obito doing that. Madara smiled.

he aint betrayin madara. the way he talks to him tells you so. even talking of nagato betraying them. i think with the most recent chapters we see. madara is the one who will cast the genjutsu for this perfect world. and obito wants that. maybe after this flashback. which i hope continues on to seeing his prespective of attack on konaha and helping itachi. when we go back to the war. maybe kakashi or someone will talk and change him. who knows about waht will go down. even if he does give up the plan. madara will be killed by someone reguardles even if obito helps.

initially the plan was like this...
obito collects all bijuu.....revives madara....madara becomes juubi's jinchuriki....projects his eye on the moon...performs mugen tsukiyomi......right!!
BUt alas nagato died....bijuu collection not finished....so.......
obito might hv concluded that ....I HAVE TO GO FOR IT ALONE.......
I think ...he wasn't sure that whether he could be able to become juubi's jinchuriki or not....so he LEARNED EDO TENSAI FRM KABUTO...(i dont think a calculative person as obito...will do a a thing i.e of no use...)....IMO he kept THIS as PLAN B...in case he fails to become the jinchuriki.....he will go find the body of rin and would edo her....and live happily
OR......(most preferably....as obito not only wanted rin...but also a world that contains...him,kakashi,rin...a world where heroes will not have to make pathetic excuses in front of graves....so on...)
