⌘ UNIVERSAL RULES

You can only use the bio you posted in your application or an update that dates from before the start of the tournament.

By default, the basic battle rules will be applied.

Each round will last a max of 5 days with a 12-hour reply limit. Opponents start 5 meters apart in the Rose Corridor, pictured above.

During the second round, members can only use A rank and below Ninjutsu ( Basic and Elemental ) as well as either Genjutsu or Taijutsu but not both. In addition to this, one Tier 3 and below Universal abilities. One Primary, Secondary or Apex Specialty from the competitor's bio can be chosen for the round. The armor given to the competitors restrict access to abilities not listed each round, allowing more to be utilized as rounds progress. Only weapons given may be used as well.

All competitors are restricted to Jounin Ranked Speed. Health is reduced to Chunin levels and Chakra taxing techniques have been removed from use. Passive Boosts ( Health, Chakra, Speed, Damage, etc ) are all disabled and competitors are left at the same levels completely. Previously used techniques, Summonings, Creations and similar and passives are disabled as well. These reductions decrease every round, noted before the round commences.

All of the competitors previously eliminated are free to leave the Grounds or are capable of staying around ro watch the remaining fights, able to post in the Dark Tower thread and comment on fights/interact with others in the landmark. None entrees are barred from the Tower now.

The fight will be conducted in the Rose Corridor.​

Kōtetsu Inuzuka

The Inuzuka's first opponent easily fell to his sword, his arrogance getting the better of him despite the respect Kōtetsu had shown him. His second opponent was a long red-haired man who he would afford the same respect. "Kōtetsu...Inuzuka," he stated matter of factly, adhering to his clan's custom of bestowing his name upon his enemies so they would know who was responsible for severing their earthly tethers. However, unlike his first foe, the Inuzuka would keep his blade sheathed until it became necessary.

Banri approaches and watches his next opponent. Again, his opponent would be allowed to strike first before he buried him ... But before then:

His current foe at least possessed the common courtesy to share his name, but it did little to soothe the Inuzuka's unease towards the humans gathered in the tower. To begin their bout, Kōtetsu weaved two handseals and changed the floor into an adhesive, chakra-infused swamp of mud that ensnared Banri as he sank into it. The swamp would begin from 2 meters in front on the Inuzuka and span the with of the corridor all the way into long rank.

Description: The user will first perform Boar → Tiger and then by changing the surface of an object beneath an enemy into mud and creating a non flammable swamp, the user can sink his enemy into the mud. The adhesive, chakra-infused mud ensnares the enemy's body, making it almost impossible to recover one's strength and escape from the swamp. The size and depth of the created swamp depends on the user's skill and the amount of chakra used, but if the user is an expert in this technique, it will always be possible to make a fair-sized swamp which is extremely effective against a great number of enemies or when having to face gigantic creatures.

Assuming that Banri would attempt to flee or counter him in some way, the Inuzuka quickly unsheathed his weapon with his right hand and channeled chakra into it before thrusting it forward to release a green arrow that sped toward his for. As the arrow entered three meters of him, it would split into four separate projectiles. Two would encroach upon his from his sides, one would arc upward to strick from above, and the last would continue in a straight path forward.

Description: The user will channel raw chakra into their sword and perform what seems to be a simple thrust. But, as the user fully extends their arm, they'll use shape manipulation to release the stored chakra in the form of a green arrow that measures about 1m in length that travels quickly. The arrow is also incredibly sharp, so much so that it's able to split apart techniques of the same rank and below. As the chakra is released the user can will it to split into four parts in order to attack multiple opponents, or a single opponent from different sides.

Note: Only useable twice per battle.

Seeing his opponent prepared to battle, banri had a slight excitement within him, but it was soon erased when he saw what kinda fighter his opponent is. Nigh immediately, most of the room began to shift into a swamp, so banri scoffed at the fact he would have to force a "fight" as he performed hand seals to create a whip of water in his grasp. The whip is immediately used to extend and grasp on to one of the chandeliers to his forward left, abling banri to tarzan swing in a small arc to the left, leaving the zone of the swamp in a moments notice, seeing as it is only 3m ahead of him and most of it would be to the side or behind. The whole time Banri swung from his whip, he'd intently watch the man, seeing as his arc to the left wasn't wide, thus keeping him within 4 to 5m of the opponent still.

Description: After the user performs a series of three handseals: Rat → Dog → Ox, the user creates a whip of water that can be used to strike the opponent with a lashing action or wrap around the target to bind them. This technique can also have lightning techniques channeled through when they have bound their victim with the water whip.

As Banri is leaving the range of the swamp, he'd notice that the man had drawn a sword and shot a green energy blast in the shape of a decent size arrow. Banri kept his momentum and used his swinging motion to let go of the rope and be sent still hurling in the direction he was swinging. This would have him aimed to land to the right of the man, but before Banri could land safely he needed to defend himself. As he let go of the water whip, he'd use his mastery over the water element to conjure a wave of a gargantuan size out of thin air. This wave would form in such a way that it engulfs the opponent and his little blades at the same time and everything within long range, except in the direction of banri (we're in close range so I can form it directly around you), having been conjured with force that would carry the man towards his own swamp as the water dragged him in that direction (I can choose what direction it's moved) and flooded the area as a whole. Banri made sure the water was conjured in a way that it didn't envelope him, but formed around both the opponent and the attack, thus defending and attacking at once and putting the man in his own trap he created. Of course, all this water would flood the area and destroy the walls, while also reaching high enough to lift and remove the roof in a way that it wouldn't fall into the fighting arena. All the while, Banri stood on the water rising in the area from the flood, being safely away from the swamp and awaiting a reaction from his opponent.

(Suiton: Kyojin Nami Shougeki) – Water Release: Giant Wave Crash

The issue with Shady's counter is that it doesn't work; to start, the swamp has a lot of force behind it and can pull even Boss Summonings into its depths. The Jutsu Shady used would not generate enough power to be used in a way that it can pull him from the swamp and allow him to escape it. In addition to this, the actual way he attempted to pull himself out doesn't add up.

He stated that he uses it to "tarzan swing in a small arc to the left" from the swamp. The way this is phrased would suggest he's jumping from above something to swing lower as that's how a Tarzan swing or Spiderman swing works. As the water whip doesn't grant strength increasing qualities or anything that would allow him to swing from a lowered position to a higher one while being bound, this cannot happen and would mean that Shady is still stuck in the swamp, preventing the use of the follow up technique as well. It is now AJ's love with his opponent still in the swamp drowning.

Forgot to add this in previously, but in addition to basic 5 elements, basic Ninjutsu, and Taijutsu, I will be using the tier 3 Fuuinjutsu universal ability and none of my specialties as none of them can be used this round.
Seeing Banri engulfed by the adhesive mud (idk if my sword arrows hit you or not), the Inuzuka would maintain his ceaseless onslaught by returning his weapon to its sheath on his side before performing the tiger handseal and compressing fire chakra built up in his body, expelling it in the form of two dragon head-shaped fireballs. He manipulated the fire in such a way that it struck the swamp where Banri had gone under in order to superheat the swamp, causing it to burn his entrapped foe.

Description: After performing the hand seal Tiger the user compresses a large amount of chakra built up inside their body, before instead expelling it in the form of a number of dragon head-shaped fireballs. The user then skilfully manipulates that great fire, and attacks their opponent. The temperature of the created flames is so great that, even with the briefest of contact, they are capable of easily burning human flesh and the fireballs are dense enough to behave almost as solid, being able to deliver impact damage in adition to the fire damage. However, this also means that they can be deflected as a solid projectiles.

He would follow up by performing a number of handseals before slamming his hands to the ground, creating a barrier that pushed Banri deeper into the swamp as well as compacting the adhesive mud and making it much harder for him to break free due to the massive pressure the barrier exerted.

Description: This technique is a stronger version of Infinite Embraces and is used basically in the same manner. The user will do the Tiger → Dog → Horse → Dragon → Boar hand seals and slam his hands on the ground, creating a bigger barrier than the original technique but similar in its essence which drains the target's chakra but also pushes down on them making it much harder to break free. The massive pressure the technique puts on the target prevents the target from moving unless it has some sort of enhanced strength ability, making it very difficult to break free from it. Unable to move, the targets are also unable to mold chakra above A-Rank while having his chakra drained. The barrier can only be broken by A-Rank techniques or above or by attacking the user.
