Looking at the war now - If Naruto manages to defeat Madara and the Juubi , Naruto will be the strongest shinobi alive

Naruto will be the 10-tails host - It was the SO6P's prophecy ​

I came to believe the same since that chapter. But Something always bothered me. If they are all supposed to be one again, won't Naruto need the 8tails? Also, since Gaara was revived, Shukaku wasn't present when they shared their chakra with Naruto. Perhaps that could be the loophole that will allow Kishi to NOT have Naruto as the new sage? Just playing Devil's Advocate and hoping to see if anyone was bothered by the lack of Shukaku as I was. And if I am correct (secretly hoping so because the 10tails is hideous so far), that would be the only way to keep Naruto = Sasuke.

Fact stays that Kishimoto-sensei himself has stated in an interview that Sasuke and Naruto represent yin and yang and thus are equal. When giving a power up to one of them, he has the other one in his mind as well. You can't argue against his own words. That said, I don't know which power up Sasuke will get. At this point Naruto is clearly stronger - but it isn't sure that he will become the ten tails host. It could happen, it could also not happen. (To be honest I would find it a bit lame if he becomes the host - that's a bit too much overpowering >_>) But if Naruto becomes the host, then I honestly don't see the point in him having a fight with Sasuke, because it would be too obvious who would win then - unless Naruto holds himself back.

So Sasuke is probably going to receive something that will put him up to par with Naruto - or at least very close to it. But what it is, I don't have a clue; I'd rather wait to see what will happen.
