This Theory I Just Came Up..I Really Think That Itachi Really Wanted To End Things Up With The Uchihas..Remember The Suicidal Letter Shisui Made..And To Think Itachi And Shisui Were Bestfriends..I Think Its Really True..They Cant Take It Anymore..The Path Of The Uchihas.

Itachi Really Wiped The Uchiha Family..But He Did Not Kill Sasuke..Because Thats His Brother..And There Is No Hatred Between Them..He Really Cant Kill His Own Brother..And What He Wanted Is To Make Sasuke Stronger And Have Hatred In Him..So That In The End..He Will Make Sasuke Take His Life..He Wanted To Die In His Own Brothers Hands..

Even Though Killing His Relatives Make Him Hurt A Lot..It Even Made Him Cry..He Cant Take The Pain Of What He's Doing..

lol xD... I think it is some kind of counter to Amaterasu... or some sort of gengutsu, not a counter for sharingan, coz if I remember well, sasuke couldnt read naruto's movements when he was covered by Kyuubi's Cloak.

and that genjutsu thing can only be blocked by another sharingan user

that way itachi woulkd be weaker when he fought sasuke and him having half his strenght and being sick weakend him to that he was fighting as hard as he possibly could against sasuke and it looked real...
