Ever since I recently decided put picture for my profile, I only see a few of the people that reply and even some of the people that gave me rep points disappeared.
If you mean you don't get quotes notification, it doesn't awlays work. Also rep doesn't disappear, you just can't see it if the thread you got it from was deleted.
