Not Like Before

They say things that are not true,
Their lies are just too easy to see through.
My heart has faded to completely black,
It is now gone forever , it will never be back.

I forgot the good this world once had,
For everything they do is nothing but bad.
Love is replaced by selfish lust,
All care in this place had turned to dust.

Why must my heart be gone ?
I have not felt love for far too long .
They filled my head with sorrow and regret,
I just wish one day I will forget.

The scars they left me still appear,
I still hear my screams of fear.
I do not trust anymore,
For my life is not how it was before.
