I totally agree with you. Though Naruto fits better with Hinata personality-wise, their development is not as dynamic as Narusaku. Sakura and Naruto had a long history with each other and throughout the story he had gradually earned her care and admiration. For them to be together, I don't know, I think it would so cute.
