Lets do RP, but not RP like Sharingdork wallie RP. Alright, my last jutsu. Here I go.

Genkai stands 8 m from Noni on a grass field. It it bright outside and the wind is blowing at a medium pace. She gathers chakra in her body and visualizes it as strong and sturdy like the earth. Next Genkai releases the chakra through several chakra points and performs the snake hand seal to further focus it. She then slams her hand on the ground and large rubble protrude from the earth in a straight line towards Noni. Dust is produced from the rubble and Genkai takes a kunai from her pouch and throws it at Noni's face.

(Doton: Kengan no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Fist Rock Technique

Description: After performing the snake → Seal of Confrontation and then by encasing their arm in rock, the user can deal a powerful hardened punch against an opponent while being protected from direct contact with their target. If necessary, the weight of the rock can be increased to further increase the punch's destructive power through the Earth Release: Added Weight Technique or the Earth Release: Super Added Weight Technique.

Okay the user will send doton chakra through his arm encasing it with pure rock. With it the opponent is able to block techniques as well as deliver hard punches. Great for short range battle and simple to use, its purpose is simple as well. It has two hand seals. Your speed on the arm though is slowed down due to the extra weight.

  • - The jutsu is flexible in how strong it can become. It all depends on how weight you want to add to the rock. -
  • - As the jutsu says the rock will protect your hand. -
  • -It can be used to intercept blasts in short range like paper bombs.-
Weak points
  • - 2 Hand Seals is a lot for such a simple tech. -
  • - It's not a particularly fast jutsu. -
  • - The jutsu has limited range-
Combinations-strategies As already stated this would work great in conjunction with taijutsu. You could also use it to punch your way out of a imprisonment or to disperse a water bullet. Combinations with this jutsu are really limited as it's a very straight forward technique. It's essentially a strong punch.

Ways to counter this technique The ideal way to counter this tech is to avoid it and then counter. You can't free form dodge but you can use a stream to push yourself away. If you have time for this will depend on how heavy the rock is. A D rank lightning tech could counter this jutsu if you wanted to face it directly. You can also use world shaking and make your opponent stumble and lose their balance.

(Doton: Ton'neru chika no Jutsu) - Earth Release: Tunneling Technique

Description: The user after performing the required hand seals Ram → Dog → Rat → Bird is able to create a wide tunnel in the ground, this cannot travel through rock though or anything with a high density. The large tunnel that is created allows the user to transport others without detection.
Note: The initial entry of the technique is short range.

The user will perform 4 hand seals and create a hole on the ground which is a tunnel that can run long range. It can't though travel through high density rocks or material. So using it in mountain type terrains would be impossible. Using it on soil or a field is best. Now you can move through this tunnel but its not like hiding like a mole. You will not sense anything going on from above through a magnetic wave. You can though send the tunnel towards any area on the field. Its good to send clones or small summons through to set up a combo attack.

  • - If the hole is created without the enemy noticing then this is perfect for hiding. -
  • - As you stated you can also send cloned down the hole for a surprise attack -
  • - The jutsu is not limited in range. At least the exit tunnel isn't. -
Weak points

  • - Unlike Hiding like a mole you can't detect your surroundings. -
  • - With 4 handseals this is not a jutsu than be used quickly in comparison to other jutsu of the same rank. -
  • - If you get in the hole and the enemy sees it, it's like a death trap. SOTU. -
Combinations-strategies As already stated a number of surprise attacks can be set up with this jutsu. Another use I see for this jutsu is in the rain. You could create a hole while it is raining and it would fill up giving you a water source to use. You can also use it to weaken the ground below an opponent if you have a need to do so.

Ways to counter this technique By itself it's not an attack technique. If you see your enemy form a hole then it is a good idea to get to higher ground. You can do this using any number of available jutsu. In general don't stay stationary if you see this hole being formed. If a person jumps in the hole you can trap them with SOTU or fire a different large scale jutsu into the hole.

Questions Can you make any size hole you want? I assume you can use it in sand, right?

Description: After forming the necessary seal Snake, the user creates two walls of earth and traps their target in between them.

The user will summon two normal sized earth walls in each flank of the opponent which come together not to crush but trap them restricting their movement, then you can send a finishing attack. Rather basic, the walls move at a fast pace, and the user needs to do one hand seal. The opponent can still however counter it even if they are caught it restricts only movement nothing more. Very simple but nice to use in combos.

  • - As you said this can be used with combos. I might try this with my Yamanaka mind transfer jutsu.-
Weak points
  • - Can only constrict a person's movement and does no damage. -
  • - Relatively easy to counter with an equivalently powerful jutsu. Just use a jutsu that doesn't require much movement like something blown from the mouth. -
  • - Can't really think of a third disadvantage. It can't be used at long range. -
Combinations-strategies One your enemy is trapped you can send a large scale jutsu their way. It will be nearly impossible for them to evade without breaking the walls. This jutsu also allows you to make you target stationary which a lot of jutsu require to be successfully cast.

Ways to counter this technique The most obvious counter is to not get caught. If you can see the walls coming then use a jutsu to evade them. Some wind streams and earth jutsu can do this easily. If you get trapped by the walls they can be broken with equivalent elemental jutsu. Lightning would be particularly useful.

I would say no that you will be trapped but if an opponent is attacking in both your flanks you can use it despite the fact you might get trapped depending on the rank of the technique the opponent sent the rock walls might crumble anyway.

A basic defense jutsu, the user will manipulate the debris on the ground to rise by a wave of the hand to create a dust wall. It is simple enough to protect the user from projectile techniques. If an opponent comes to close you can use it to force him back because if they get to close to the wall it has a type of property able to push someone back some meters. Lastly since its made of dust you can see through it.

A quick jutsu to use, the user will summon a huge rock from the ground to rise up, which he then begins to control and sends towards the opponent from above. He then sends the rock to crash down upon the opponent. Its a very good jutsu to use for attacks above but you must keep control of the rock. The rock is moves at a normal pace and the performance of the jutsu is quick.

Very similar to the technique. The user claps their hands and unleashes two huge rocks from the ground on each side of the opponent that appears anywhere close to the opponent, it acts to try to attack the chin or any other area around them. The impact can cause the opponent to fly back in the air. As said before they are left vulnerable in the air, they rise quite quick and the opponent can sense the density happen in the ground before they officially rise so they can anticipate an attack. Difference is you can only use it up to mid-range the most.

If you don't evade the jutsu I'm not sure how to defend against it since the rocks form quickly. You could try to form a wall to protect yourself or use a stream or bullet type jutsu to fire at the rocks and quickly break them.

The user will stomp on the ground and make the ground shake and tear through small fractures through the ground which will then force the ground fragments rise all over the area where the tore went through. The fragments will appear also around the opponent rising to hit them into the air with some serious force. They will be dealt damage as well as be vulnerable in the air. Simple and very fast jutsu after you stomp on the ground you can move on to your next attack.

  • - The jutsu is simple to cast in that it requires no complicated gestures or multiple hand signs. You just have to stomp your foot. -
  • - The jutsu has good range and can be pretty much cast on any surface that isn't water. Maybe not in a metal building.-
Weak points
  • - The affects of the jutsu take a little time to occur. An opponent is going to notice small fractures forming in the earth. This gives them time to evade or counter. -
  • - I don't see this as a very good jutsu to defend with. It's slow forming and not particularly powerful when compared with other jutsu. This isn't its intended use but it is a disadvantage. -
  • - I really can't think of another one. I'm serious.:| -
Combinations-strategies I would use this jutsu in conjunction with projectile jutsu. This could be anything from wind bullets, water streams, fire balls,..etc. I would fire projectile at the opponent after they are in the air. I could also aim for where they are landing and set a trap with sticky water, swap of the underworld, earth spikes, etc...

Ways to counter this technique To defend against this jutsu since it takes a little time, you can use a wide range lightning jutsu and disrupt the formation of the fractures. You can also use the other elements to do this as well but lightning is the most effective. You can also use a wind stream or other similar jutsu to lift yourself of the ground momentarily.

Questions So am I correct in saying the jutsu is fast for the user to perform but it does take a little time for the fractures to occur giving the opponent sometime to counter? This as opposed to world shaking which is instant.

Your right the fractions take some time where you have a window of evasion, also the shaking is simple it won't really force the opponent to fall over but moving around would be tougher. Its okay the weak point is alright.

Now go through all the C-Ranks and list 5 of your favorite jutsus on that rank and why. 1 being highest.

It also appears that after digging, the ground can be returned to its original state, leaving no trace of where the user entered the earth.
Many uses. Hiding, escaping mud, sensing your opponent. It's number 5 because it is extremely dangerous to use. I just used it in my fight with Shady. Hopefully it works.

Description: The user of this technique condenses the soil and rock in the area to sprout out in the form of four large spikes which attack the target from four separate directions to make it harder to evade. However, it can be easilty avoided by escaping upwards.

The user will condense the soil and rock around the area in 4 directions around the opponent and summon 4 spears out of the ground which travel towards the center to come together all 4, now of course the opponent is meant to be in the middle and the spears act to try and pierce the opponent from all over the body. They appear in four directions around the opponent making it hard to evade, but you can still evade above or below. The spears act to try and cage the opponent in. After the spears come together you can begin to the next jutsu, if you want to execute it properly.

Okay the opponent will make an exact copy of themselves or another person who they have seen, made of rocks and earth chakra. It will look just like you though it will not have any abilities of yours or that opponent. Its very nice to use for deception and can be made fast. The most this clones/copies can do is move around but not fast.



(Doton: Iwa no Hogo) - Earth Release: Earth Shelter Technique

Description: The user surrounds themselves with earth, taken from the immediate vicinity, in order to fabricate a formation of rock that is capable of protecting both the user and others in close proximity, if desired. Doing so, seemingly leaves the surrounding terrain unaltered, even when the quantity of earth used is enough to form a complete dome around multiple individuals as seen when Ittan used this technique. The user can also manipulate the resulting shelter to have openings in it so as to be able to observe outside, as demonstrated when used by Kitsuchi.

This is a strict defensive based technique. The user will manipulate the ground around them to create a dome of their size to intercept attacks, great thing about it is you can protect other people who are in close range of you. Its a basic technique and simple to perform. You can also manipulate it to create small holes to take looks of the outside to be prepared and know whats going on.

Weak points
  • - As the jutsu states their is a clear way to evade it by going into the air or below ground. -
  • - Like a lot of earth jutsu it's not instantaneous so the target has time to counter. -
  • - Not really much of a disadvantage but it would be nice if this could be used at long range. -
Combinations-strategies You can corner your opponent by forcing them into the air or below ground. If they go in the air you fire at them. If they go below ground you can use swamp of the underworld. I believe Sharingdork used this or a similar jutsu in his sensei exam.

Ways to counter this technique I think jutsu that spread out and cover a 360 range are best for defending against this jutsu. I don't have any such jutsu yet, but I know their are lightning jutsu that cover a 360 range as well as wind jutsu that do the same. If your going to evade it I think it would be better to go in the air than in the ground.

  • - This jutsu is great for a quick defense or as you said for deception. Conceal you location momentarily and then create an earth clone. -
  • - Very quick jutsu. Unlike other clones this one requires no handseals and doesn't require a source to form. I guess it requires you to be on ground but that is pretty easy to do. -
  • - This clone has more durability than the water clone being a B rank jutsu. -

Combinations-strategies A lot of combinations are available with an earth clone. You can conceal your location and fool your enemy into attacking the clone. The you can sneak attack your enemy. I see this as a good jutsu to repel wind gusts. Easy to form and it would block the path of the wind leaving you free to counter. It's also nice to have an earth clone nearby to take damage for you should the need arise.

Ways to counter this technique The earth clone is slow so it can be easily avoided and destroyed. I suggest not getting fooled by the earth clone's appearance but that is not really a counter. I would also avoid short range if I knew it was an earth clone.

Description: The user surrounds themselves with earth, taken from the immediate vicinity, in order to fabricate a formation of rock that is capable of protecting both the user and others in close proximity, if desired. Doing so, seemingly leaves the surrounding terrain unaltered, even when the quantity of earth used is enough to form a complete dome around multiple individuals as seen when Ittan used this technique. The user can also manipulate the resulting shelter to have openings in it so as to be able to observe outside, as demonstrated when used by Kitsuchi.
Strong points
  • - One of the best defensive jutsu I've seen so far. This gives you 360 protection. -
  • - Easy to form. Also one of the few techs I see that can protect multiple people. -
  • - The size and placement of the holes in the dome is up to the user so the jutsu has some flexibility. -
Weak points
  • - Can only be formed out to short range. -
  • - While it protects you it can also be a death trap if your not careful. You opponent could use it to their advantage. -
  • - While you can make holes in the shelter it still will obscure your view to some degree. -
Combinations-strategies The most obvious use for this jutsu as it states is pure defense. You can defend from a barrage of kunai, the wind,...etc. You can also use the dome to conceal your plans. For example you could created an earth clone and leave it in the dome and then use hiding like a mole.

Ways to counter this technique The best way is to destroy the dome. To do this a wide spread jutsu should be used. Something like a large wind sphere or a large fire. After you destroy the dome you should change your position to be safe. Maybe even go in the air and land somewhere else.

Questions I assume the dome can extend out to about 5 m?

Description:The user creates a dome of earth, which protects them from external attacks. The domes shape is in a similar fashion to wood release: wood locking walls. That creates a half face dome.

- The user will manipulate the ground close to you to rise a arced shape dome of earth protecting you frontal area. Its half face dome basically, its not very large in height but is very much in width. It can withstand basic attacks. Simple.

Description: This jutsu is basically a widespread version of the Mudshot Technique; allowing the user to fire at multiple targets.

This jutsu is very similar to its weaker C-Rank counter part. It has the same similar traits, it can force an opponent back, when hit on the face their vision is hurt due to mud all over the place and they can choke. You can also aim on the ground to have a opponent trip over. Its also a projectile technique so you can quickly send another tech without hesitation. This time you can send more then one, though note the more you send the weaker each get.

Description: After performing the required hand seal sequence Rat → Snake → Tiger the user creates and rides a wave of earth that can branch of to attack from a distance. The user can also use the technique to manipulate the terrain and trap the target by wrapping earth round their legs preventing them from moving

After performing the required hand seals the user will manipulate the ground to be almost like water, they can manipulate it in many ways. They can ride it like a wave of water and send it to an opponent for a attack. They can even have it wrap around the opponents less trapping them. The user must concentrate on the waves the whole duration of the attack. Its great for attacks as well as set ups. It has a strong bind and push attack. Great flexibility as well with the jutsu as well.
