Gaara has a good chance of beating a lot of those mentioned. As for the 2nd Mizukage, Gaara beat the Edo version. Which means he would nail the real one.
Try not to underestimate or overestimate people. If your posting about how certain people can easily beat another. Give some reasons.
Also, Gaara does not need a desert, he's proved himself many times to be able to fight anywhere.

How in the living heck does gaara beat Naruto, Sasuke, Jiraiya, Minato, or Orochimaru?
Basically anyone who is kage level and has an agile boss summon can take gaara in a desert.

there is always an exception since no one is perfect except the sage i think and i already put the list some i add after hearing the other opinion
and also gaara beat the 2nd mizukage with back ups not to mention his dad gold dust help him to tanked 2nd mizukage
naruto ? current naruto is strong but don't have the capability to beat the current gaara

minato ? hmhm yeah he can summon gamabunta but minato cannot produce oil by himself so if somehow gaara manage to immobilize bunta then minato its pretty much dead i mean FTG need kunai and in the desert where he will put his kunai ?

I love Gaara, but if Bee goes into his full beast form I just can't see Gaara burying Hachibi. TBB ain't nothing to **** with, and he can also use the Eight Tail Whirlwind to blow the sand away. I don't know man, I think it's possible but I can't see it happening. lol

Gaara is in a league of his own, yes. But that's a far cry from saying no one can defeat him. Even in the desert. There are several people who could defeat him.
Keep in mind, the only reason Gaara was able to defeat the 2nd Mizukage was because of his fathers lingering gold dust and Onoki's knowledge of Jouki Boy.
The 2nd Mizukage practically had Gaara's sand defense neutralized with his oily water.

Agree Gaara is in a league of his own. However, to say that only reason he beat the 2nd is due to the gold dust and Oonoki is too much. That's what helped him seal the Edo form of the 2nd.
I think Gaara would have been able to focus on offence with intent to harm and kill If it had been the real one. An immortal who can only be sealed away, is not the same as the real thing.
I agree again though. Even in the desert Gaara can be beaten by many. He's not perfect and the desert only gives him a slight advantage.

Obvious answers are diedora, kisame, tobirama. BTW Sasuke has a hawk summoning that should make life easier for him xd

I think we need to stop with the Deidara beating Gaara business. He won that time.
Gaara was a little busy with the C3 and was seriously caught off-guard. In a simple 1vs1, I back Gaara over D.
Also, Sasuke's hawk is only a summon. Can be killed and made to go away. ( I don't really like that Hawk thing, wish they'd explain)
